I'm sooo proud of myself! I had a baby last year, did weight watchers and lost 30 pounds. So I lost all of he baby weight BUT I still have the belly. What kind of remidies or exercies can I do to help flatten it? I already do the readmill and crunches daily.

Oh my gosh, I am so happy you posted this. I have been doing the Tupler Technique and have had amazing results. First off... STOP the crunches. Check out this link, its to the classes that I'm taking in my area. I am sure that there are instructors near you. http://www.thetummyteam.com/
By the way, I am proud of you too for losing the baby weight. That is awesome! Seriously, I am so happy that I found out about this. Not only is my tummy smaller, but I have much better posture and I have stopped wetting my pants when I sneeze.
Good luck to you!

You need to focus more on your nutrition. Two great resources are Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Diet series (really strict but will get you the results you want) or The ABS Diet (not really a 'diet' but an eating plan you can adopt for a lifetime that focuses on foods that do not bloat, but promote fat burning).

Unfortunately, you cannot spot reduce or spot train. Great nutrition will help burn fat all over the body but women tend to hold on to the fat in the abdomen and thighs. It'll likely be the last to go.

Crunches may not be enough. Start out with the Tupler Technique (as mentioned below - she has a book called "Lose the Mummy Tummy", get it from the library as it is sort of a waste of money because it repeats itself and doesn't really give you much more than an absolute beginner workout) but then you'll need to progress to other exercises that are more challenging. A lot of the techniques within target the transverse abdominus muscle. It wraps around the midsection like a corset - so imagine what a corset does when pulled tight around a woman's waist. It gives the appearance of a narrower waist. Functionally, however, it provides a lot of core strength and stability for every day movements. Planks, side planks are all good things to do.

And, crunches alone won't cut it. They will tighten and strengthen the midsection but if you have a nice layer of fat insulating the 6-pack you won't ever see it! You need to continue to do the cardio that burns fat. Mix it up on the treadmill and try more interval training - play with the speed, time intervals, and incline (do NOT hold onto the treadmill when you work out - lower your center of gravity and pump your arms).

It goes last. Even if you are super thin and only have 10 pounds of extra weight, it will be on your tummy. When you lose the 10 pounds, it will be gone. You cant' really spot treat it. The more workouts you do that burn calories ALL OVER and the less bad fat you eat, the faster it will go. I lost mine 3 times for three kids, but now it comes and goes. As soon as I put on a few pounds, the belly is back. :(

Don't eat any "white" foods or many carbs -your tummy will go down in a hurry! Also start trying to run outside if you can (it makes a huge difference) and, I don't know where you are in Atlanta, but check out kettle bell workouts. It will completely reshape your body! Condition Gym in Old Fourth Ward is AWESOME! Your tummy will go -and it will go quickly!

Keep on running and doing those crunches! You are doing great and you will see they will pay off and your tummy will get flatter and flatter. Eat healthy! Don't stress so much about how much you eat as long as it is healthy :)
