Hopeful but Unhopeful of a Possible Unplanned Pregnancy

I have been showing some early signs of pregnancy that has been tripn me out: sore breast, cramps, cravings that come and go, sense of smell, and nausua. But there has been some odd things too like I've been dreaming everynight for the past week. I've been havin random headaches, I go straight to sleep at night it use to be difficult for me to sleep at night...but no matter the time I go to sleep I wake up at 7 in the morning I can go to bed at 2 a.m an still wake up around 7. My period is suppose to start in 9 days so I'm thinkn its just my menstrual cycle but I have this feeling that I am =/ am I trippn or should I just wait for my period....someone heeelllppp!

What can I do next?

Usually, pregnancy symptoms don't show up until you're between 5 and 6 weeks along. And remember: The symptoms for pregnancy and for menstruation are surprisingly similar. I would wait. If you miss your period, take a test and see. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry. Keep is updated! Best of luck!

I think its too early for those signs of pregnancy to happen. Look online, but if i am not mistaken, it usually takes a few weeks for those symptoms to occur. And if you aren't supposed to start your period for 9 more days, then that would mean that you are like 5 days pregnant. I really think its too early.

I agree, I think it's too early. Try not to worry yourself.

its a little early but not as early as Erin W. said. I have been trying to get pregnant (we just started trying this month) with our second child. you can start showing symptoms as soon as the zygote has been implanted in the uterus which is 8-10days post ovulation, but i think its to early to worry

Hi G.:

Either way, try to lower your stress level about the possibilities. The symptoms sound menstrual cycle and pregnancy-related. Options include take a pregnancy test, wait until the 9th or so day, check with a healthcare professional to assist you with your health, as the symptoms you have described may be induced by diet and digestive upsets.

I think some of the symptoms can cross with your menstruation coming. But no one knows your body like you do. Test, see what happens. Sounds like it is too early so if it shows negative, don't fret, maybe test again if AF doesn't show. Or...you could always wait out the 9 days and see what happens.

There are tests that are for up to 6 days before your expected period, but most women do not have high enough hcg levels to have an accurate result that soon. I think I did pretty early with my current one, but I was trying and had thought several times that I might be pregnant (I had several weeks of swollen/tender breasts and randomly thinking I needed to go nurse or pump, even though I weaned my youngest nine months before that point). You probably don't have "real" symptoms and there isn't any reason not to wait until closer to when your period is due. In the meantime, just make sure you are "acting" pregnant and if you have any prenatal vitamins around, keep taking them. If you are at risk of pregnancy at all it is a good idea to stay on prenatal vitamins or take a folic acid supplement anyway. Good luck!
