My husband and I spent a couple of nights at a Casino - Las Vegas usually has some cheap flights and good deals.

Disney World is running a big sale right now - book by March something and if you buy four nights, you get 3 nights free. They have all kinds of cost ranges for hotels - from $70 per night all the way to $500 per night, depending on what kind of hotel you want to stay in. They also have dining plans and all their vacation packages include some combination of park tickets. I've never tried to book a super cheap trip to DW, but I've heard it's possible to go for a whole week for $1,200.

We did our honeymoon at DW in 2006 and loved it. And, you could even take your 7 year old... what a fun way to start your new family life together.

My husband and I honeymooned in Jamaica and it was awesome. I ran across a very reasonable all inclusive in Rose Hall (about 15 minutes from the airport in Montego Bay). It is called the Rosehall Spa and Resort Hilton. I looked up pricing on COSTCO's website and it was VERY affordable if you booked the right days.

Check out Southwest Air. They have some great rates.

You got some good ideas. Vegas can be relatively inexpensive and fun. We do not gamble but we enjoyed going through all the hotels and people watching.

Wine country is beautiful, Jamaica is beautiful

One of my favorite spots in the US is South Beach in Miami. We go there every year. It is a pretty open minded area so if you have no open mind, it might not be for you. It is NOT family friendly. Great food and things to do!

Also, American Airlines has vacation deals a lot. Check those out as well.

Other fun places are New York, DC, Hawaii (not cheap), San Antonio.etc.

Good luck to you and have fun!

for our honeymoon, we did a few days in a cabin in the country then 4 nights/5 days in new orleans. fabulous mix of relaxation and city life for about $2000 total. we got a great deal online for the hotel. you could skip the cabin and cheapen it up even more.

we've done trips in texas, say to fredericksburg or austin or corpus christi. yes they are nice. but i will say that last summer's trip to playa del carmen, near cancun, that we won was the best trip ever. we paid $1000 or so for air fare and the hotel was what we won, but that can be very affordable depending on where you want to stay. the all inclusives are very nice. i will say that i like playa del carmen or cozumel over cancun.

We have some vacation weeks with RCI as well as additional ones with TAN...let me know if you are interested and we can run some searches. I also get special deals each week sent out on Fridays.

If you want a nice romantic and relaxing stay, check out California Wine Country. We honeymooned in Napa, and it was truly perfect. There are all price levels of hotels and B&Bs there, most of which give you free or discounted passes to tastings. There are lots of free sight seeing opportunities too, and you can spend a day or two in San Francisco which is a very short drive away.

We did Las Vegas when there was water! :)

I mean the trip was very inexpensive and we chose to tour the hotels as part of our trip. They are so beautiful and interesting. We also gambled a little, I am not much of a gambler but my honey did okay and we spent very little money.

We saw one show and that was the most expensive part of our trip. It was great entertainment.

We also went to the Dam for the tour and that was very nice.

We even checked out local listings for attractions. There are some wonderful pottery places along the highway. We went to a strip mall out side of Las Vegas to see the original car in the Bonnie and Clyde shooting. My husband is a big Texas history fan.

If you really want to save money, stay in a hotel off the strip. Not as much fun but way cheaper.

Try Southwest too for their low fare deals.

Have fun and happy honeymoon.

PS: I traveled once to Jamaica. Talk about beautiful people and food galore and service up class. They dote on you hand and foot. My niece married there and it was very beautiful. Much more expensive though but nice to go at least once.

Went to Cozamel Mexico too - prepare for weather for any waterside trip. Here the water was so crystal clear and beautiful-plan on snorkeling or scuba diving. Had to watch our wallets more and careful water we drank but had a nice time.

I heard San Diego is beautiful to visit...
