I also recommend Dr. Bain at Healthy Kids Pediatric:

A previous poster said she is not a homeopathic doctor, but I'm not sure if that really matters to you or not if she could help with your 4 year old's allergies and asthma. She's very holistic and reluctant to prescribe any medication without trying alternatives first. My daughter has reflux and she's had us going to a chiropractor instead of prescribing meds. Yeah, the meds would have been a 'quick and easy' solution, but they could have had side effects too. Now my daughter is reflux-free with no meds!

Sharon is a traditional naturopath and advanced BioSET practicioner. She has help me tremendously with my seasonal allergies with the BioSET treatments and has also helped my kids with food sensitivities and allergies. Since she has a doctorate in naturopathy, she also gives excellent guidance on homeopathic, nutritional, and natural remedies when dealing with colds and other illnesses. Sometimes a flex account will cover treatment.

Hi,
DR.BAIN IS NOT A HOMEOPATH!!!!! She is our pediatrician and although she is open to natural supplements etc. she is NOT a homeopath. I am assuming you know about homeopathy since you asked for one. We have been doing homeopathy with a homeopath for many years. We go to Dr. Dan Cook in Dallas on Skillman. He is sometimes hard to get into . His number is ###-###-####. He is a classical homeopath and wee have had great success with him. I have 2 nieces who went to him for asthma when they were little and they did great. If you have any questions about homeopathy you can email me offline.
____@____.com Also NAET was a good idea listed by someone else. You can use that along with homeopathy.
Hope that helps.

NAET is another way to go (www.naet.com). I used Dr. Steve Homoky for my own lactose intolerance and had such profound success that I took my kids to him for all of their food allergies/intolerances as well as their environmental ones. He used to be a petroleum engineer before changing careers to become an acupuncturist. His own 4 yr old at the time was having similar issues with allopathic treatments and was cured by these specific treatments. Needles aren't used on a 4 yr old, which is good. He's at Coit & Spring Creek in Plano, and I think it's still $45/visit. He treats one thing at a time, so it can run into quite a few visits, depending on how allergic your child is, but it's worth it to not have to live on meds and breathing treatments! Good luck!

Hello A A
Have you figured out what your 4-year old is allergic to? My daughter gets asthma because of a latex allergy. by giving my daugher one teaspoon of milk of magnesia, she only needed 1 - 2 days breathing treatments instead of 15 days. ask your allergist. they know that magnesium will help with lung inflamation. they even have lotions/ointments, etc. there are published results that when using magnesium sulfate IV they had better results with kids that went into the ER for asthma ~not as many kids had to stay overnight at the hospital.
Also have you tried chiropractic treatment?
