He has done several misc jobs around my house and a has always provided quality, timely work. his prices are definitely reasonable. He will also tell you if the job needs to be performed by someone who specializes in that field.

If you do find a repair person, I would be very careful about the work to repair the roof leaks - mold will form in drywall within 24 hours of moisture damage. This mold can be very, very damaging to your health, in particular kids. I learned this the hard way and was in my home when roof leak was repaired (the fixed the problem with the roof and then did the interior work). We all ended up very sick - it's not an allergic reaction - the mold spores produce toxins and when they open the wall or roof to repair the water damaged area, the toxins will spread throughout your home. You will need some with experience in repairing water damaged buildings and ensure that the air is exhausted outdoors and that the work area is sealed from the rest of the home. 25% of the population has the genes to be made very ill from mold exposure.

Also, the drywall work will cause tons of dust - make sure to cover everything and that you and kids are out of the house and that the use a fan to exhaust outdoors.
