Home Pregnancy Test
My period should start next Tuesday, August 21st. The last week or so I haven't been feeling right, really tired, little crappy, and hungier than usual. So I went and bought at home pregnancy test. The test has two windows, a window to show the test is working and the other to show a plus or minus, I waited the 2 mintues and had what looked like a faded plus sign. I didn't see anything in the direction about faded lines. Has anyone had this happen to them? Should I just call the doctor and get a blood test done or wait until after my period should start and do another test then?
So What Happened?™
Well I write down when my periods start on a calendar, I just started doing it on my Outlook calendar on the computer and I have that I should start on August 10th and on my small purse calendar the 21st. So I started going back and looking at previous months and yup I should have started on August 10th. So I am late!!! I am calling my OB/GYN this morning. I have the Kenny Chesny/Brooks and Dunn concert on Saturday, I guess I will be the desginated driver!!!!

Yes, this has happened to me before. For both of my pregnancies, I tested early and received a faded + sign. Both times I was pregnant! I'd get a blood test, especially if you want to be pregnant.

Hello,
This actually happened to me, also. The lines were fuzzy and it was hard to read. What I recommend is the test (I'm not sure on the brand), it states "pregnant" or "not pregnant". It turned out I was pregnant. Hope this helps.

A line is a line, it doesn't matter how faded it is, you are pregnant! Congrats!

I had faded lines with the pregnancy test I took for my daughter...in fact it was 2 in the morning, I took the test and had to turn all the lights on to read it...I was definitely pregnant! Usually the box will say that it doesn't matter if the line is bold or light just to look for lines in both directions (making a plus) to say that you're pregnant. If you're unsure you can take another home test or call your doctor, but I would guess you're pregnant! Congratulations!!!

I used the same one. it appeared as though the light was dim on it. A week or two later, I took another and it was real bright! Just wait a couple weeks. Most doctors dont want to see you until your at least 8 weeks anyway and if you take a blood test, it is as accurate as a home pregnancy test. Chances are, congrats on the new pregnancy!

Any shade of line no matter how light is a +. As long as it was read w/in the test time frame.

Yes, this happened to me. So I called the manufacturer of the product and they said if ANYTHING shows up in that window (faded or not) you are pregnant! Congratulations!!

I never tested positive on home test until further into the pregnancy. If you think you might be pregnant go get a blood test.
