Hi S., I am a Realtor and I always use a company called Best Inspections. They are so wonderful, very reliable and honest. Their number is ###-###-####. They cater to all of DFW.

You should use Mike Spain. He has been remodeling homes for several years, and now he's doing home inspections. His number is ###-###-####.

We were really happy with our home inspector -- we bought a house in Allen in June. My sister used him a couple of years ago too and he was very thorough, prompt, and even dealt directly with one of the repair companies for us. I can't remember his phone number, but his name was Darrell and was recommended to us by our realtors (who I can't say enough good things about!). Seychelle ("say-shell") at ###-###-#### (barbaravanpoole.com) can give you his number if you want it. Seychelle was one of the realtors on the Barbara VanPoole team (at Keller Williams) that we worked with.

I used to be a new home inspector. Your builder does not have to even take a third party inspection into consideration if they do not want to. You need to find a former or current new home inspector, one that is familiar with new home warranty ins and outs and you need to present the information as your own 'wants'......make sure the inspector reads your warranty. I purchased a home three years ago and the inspector, although very nice, was not as familiar about structural things as I am. Let me know if I can help further.
