Hiking, Camping, Mountain Biking Spots near Tremonton, Brigham, Logan, S Idaho

I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me of some good camping, hiking and/or mountain biking spots near Tremonton, Brigham, Logan or Southern Idaho. We are new to this part of Utah and don't want to travel too far to have fun.

What can I do next?

We used to live in Logan and we loved to camp at Tony Grove. It is a beautiful but fairly popular camp ground up Logan Canyon so if you decide to go you will need to make reservations quite a bit in advance. I also used to do some mountain biking up Green Canyon.

There is a camping area in Mantua. If I remember correctly, it is up towards or just above Logan. I dont know exactly since I only go up that way once a year and it isn't for camping. In Ogden, there are a couple of places up Ogden Canyon that my family camps at. The first place is Anderson Cove. Its a big place with access to Pineview. Another place we go, is just a little place up from there called Jefferson Hunt. Like I said, it a little place and you have to watch for the sign or you could miss it.

I don't have any other places in mind for hiking or mountain biking but I hope that gave you some ideas for camping.

Up Logan canyon there are several great hikes. The Wind caves hike is awesome, lots os switchbacks but not too steep and the view is amazing. It isn't too far up the canyon on the left hand side across from Guinavah-Malibu Campground. If you want just a nice nature walk go up to second dam. the bike trail there is great to walk on or ride bikes. there is a harder hike called Crimson trail it goes along the ridgeline--it has some steep areas. the view is so beautiful! the trailhead is at the Guinavah-Malibu Campground. and ends at Spring Hollow campground you can finish the loop our on the bike trail. I went to school at USU and those were my two favorite hikes.
there are lots of campgrounds up along Logan canyon. I like to camp at Sunset up closer to Bear Lake so we can go play in the lake but that is more of a drive.

Logan Canyon is a beautiful area!!! Tons and tons of great hiking and biking, rock climbing is excellent. If I'm not mistaken, there is/was a forest service office near the mouth of the canyon where you could probably find maps and info.
