Yup I took a pregnancy test pretty early for my second (because I was scheduled to go under anesthesia the next day to have my wisdom teeth taken out) and had a very faint, barely there, blue line. I still have all 4 wisdom teeth and that very faint blue line is now 4.

A line is a line, even if it is faint. (As long as you read it within the time limit in the instructions...)

I would try again in a week, just to be sure.

M.,

You can't upload pictures here.

Go to your doctor and get a blood test. In my experience, a line, no matter how faint - it's positive... IF YOU SEE BOTH...

Any photo sharing site can give you a url you can share in your post. Not that I use it but I think Instagram does

Congrats! You're pregnant!

Even a faint line is a positive test. There's no such thing as a false positive pregnancy test, only false negatives.

You can upload pictures. You can have any picture you want as your profile picture. However you cannot upload any pictures to the posts or comments.

You can copy and paste links to internet pictures or articles on the internet but they cannot be to see something to someone. They can be for the purpose of sharing something you yourself use and think it might help that person.

I shared a link to Thrive live foods today because the person was wanting to introduce more food to their infant's diet. I have a friend who is using Thrive and grinding up the freeze dried foods into a powder then adding water. It is so very very healthy.

If you're asking how to upload a picture to the internet you have to find the link to add a picture.

On FB it's a little camera when you are posting. It can go to your FB pictures or to your hard drive. Once you find the picture you want to upload you right click on it then click select. It should upload and not take very long.

A home pregnancy test checks to see if the pregnancy hormone is present. Since your earlier pregnancies were further along, you had more of the hormone. If you're only 2 days late, it would make sense that you wouldn't be as far along.

Either the hormone is present or it isn't. Since you had a faint line you must have some of the hormone present.

Bottom line, you are very likely pregnant.

I had a faint line with my 4th pregnancy. The line was so faint that I almost thought it was negative, then did a double take. I even asked the question on here whether a faint line is positive. I'd always had really quick, bold lines show up with my other pregnancies. That pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. The baby stopped growing at six weeks. I've often wondered if the faint line meant a lower level of hormone resulting in the miscarriage.

Hi M.,

Most home pregnancy tests are 99% sensitive, which means they will detect 99 pregnancies out of 100 as long as you are using the test correctly. They reach this level of accuracy about 1 week after you've missed your period, so yest -- it's a little early to see a dark line.

BTW, home tests CAN generate false-positives (pretty much every immunometric test does -- 100% specificity is rare), but it's pretty uncommon. Reasons for a false-positive result can include test background "noise" (all tests have some level of noise -- it's difference in the report between true absence and the test's limit to detect the chemical it's designed to test for), recent use of HCG-containing fertility drugs, an ectopic pregnancy, menopause, or an HCG-secreting tumor (rare!). If you're unsure about the accuracy, wait 5-6 days and take another test or get a blood test for confirmation. You can also use a different home test for confirmation as well.

HCG levels rise fairly continuously through the first 9 - 12 weeks of pregnancy and then begin to decline. The more HCG your body is producing, the darker the line will be, but only up to a point as high levels will eventually swamp out the amount of capture antibody available in the test.
