Hemorrhoids While Pregnant Lewd Rant!
I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I cannot wait to have this baby! You ask why! HEMORRHOIDS is my answer! I can handle the weight gain, I can handle the extreme hip pain when I sleep, and I can even handle peeing myself every time I laugh, but these hemorrhoids are killing me!
I don't get it! I goto the bathroom and poop out a hard rock football and all is fine, but as soon as I have a regular bowel movement hemorrhoids are lighting up my butt!!! Amazing I tell you, absolutely amazing!!
So today my Hubby said to me that he hates cutting the grass and I smiled and said well I hate having hemorrhoids! He said he'd probably hate it too! :)
If I was brave enough I'd make a t-shirt that reads, Watch out! Prego Chick with Hemorrhoids!
Thanks for the rant! I know there are others out there that go through this just like me!
*Just a side note: I had hemorrhoids the last time I was prego! Thanks for all the advice on how to help them go away in advance, but I'm pretty educated on the topic! ;)

Go get some probiotics!! Seriously, they saved me in my pregnancy. It regulated me, and they went away. I didn't have to strain, and they weren't "football" like. AT any vitamin store, get them from where the refrigerated vitamins are. Keep taking them daily after the birth, too...it still helps then. In addition, eat yogurt with "live, active cultures." You won't regret the probiotics, I promise!!
The reason it starts when you have regular bowel movements, is all the straining you did BEFORE...to get out the hard ones. The hemorrhoids are a result of that, not from the regular bowel movements.

heeheehee! Funny rant and I am sorry for you! I had my son 7 weeks ago and was MORE than ready...I've had 3 kids and I am not one of those women who "just love being pregnant".
A funny comment my silly husband made recently...he told me how tired he was. Boy did I light up. Tired??? I am exclusively breastfeeding so I get up for every feeding in the night. Plus I did not sleep well for the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy so let's see - it's been 13 weeks of 4 - 5 average hours sleep a night.
(Hubby is a great guy but even great guys get blasted when they say silly things sometimes...)
Good luck girl!

Im so sorry you are going through this. It happens to the best of us--builds character--haha.
Just be thankful your husband didnt tell his mom about them and now she calls you every week asking if youve gone to the dr yet (I like my MIL, but didnt think it was something she needed to know) My kids are 6 and 11. You think she would have figured out by now not to ask anymore :-)

So sorry, A.!
Are you eating prunes? That's helpful. Also, do you have some hemorrhoid cream that is only available by prescription? That's so much better than anything else.
There are also towelettes that you can buy with medication in them, and that would help. I'd just keep them in the bathroom and use them as many times a day as the directions say you can.
I would really do EVERYTHING that you can to keep them at bay now, before going into delivery. Delivery with pushing will make it just worse.
This is going to sound awful, I know, but I'm gonna say it anyway even though it's TMI. Mine were so painful that I went to the doctor, and while examining me, he put his finger up inside. I was embarrassed and it hurt, but to my amazement later on, my poor old butt felt so much better. He actually helped my hemorrhoids with that finger exam. I don't understand the mechanics of it, and I don't even know if he was aiming for that, but it did help. So if all else fails, ask your doc for a digital exam. I told you this was gonna sound awful!!!
Thinking of you!!!

I only had them with my third pregnancy and not until a week or two before I delivered. I was mortified and pissed off! The real kicker is the baby is almost two yrs old and I still get them on occasion.
