What was the original stain from...if it was grease based (butter, oil, etc.) the stain is probably the grease residue. Take some Dawn dishwashing liquid: Don't add water just take the concentrate and saturate the stain and the area around it...well. Leave it overnight, and the dishwashing soap will eat away at the grease...then wash as usual. It is amazing how well it works. Also it is mild enough that it won't do anything to stain your fabric.

Use a Mr Clean eraser! I used it on a baby pack n play that had been in storage where the fabric turned yellow in spots and again on a white wedding dress under the arms that had yellow sweat stains after sitting in closet for 4 years and it took them right off! Just dampen the sponge and lightly rub the spot! It's a wonder product!!

here's a couple suggestions...this one works for blood, chocolate, coffee, mildew or mud: dissolve 1/4 cup of borax in two cups of cold water. sponge on and let dry then wash as recommended on label. this ones for ink: wet spot with water than apply a paste of cream of tartar and lemon juice. let sit for an hour, then wash. sometimes spraying the spot with hairspray right before washing helps. when i was a kid we used lemon juice on stains on our table cloths. put on the juice than hang in the sun then wash. or if you're very very brave you can make a solution of clorox and water and put on the spot. be careful though cause if it's to strong on the clorox it will eat thru your item! good luck, hope you get the spot out!

If you can you can try bleaching the spot using a Q-tip... so the rest of the shirt is not affected.
