Hi,

I had a baby 13 months ago and I've been told that if I give it about a year my stomach would turn back to normal. But it didnt work out like that for me. Doctors said that the only thing that will work for me is surgery but I know that there has got to be something out there that can help me. I'm really curious has anyone tried anything like herbal body wraps and had success with this? Has any one tried anything else that has worked for them?

What can I do next?

Hi, this is gonna sound really wierd but I have 5yr old twins and it took me until about 6 months ago to find something that worked. Try rubbing preperation H hemmeroid creme on the skin before bed and cover it with plastic wrap (If you cant breathe or it pinches it is too tight) Wear it and it should work fairly quickly. I still have a couple of stretch marks but it is almost like it was before. ( I am 5'3" and 105lb.

This won't help tighten your skin, but it might help you feel better about how you look. At least you'll know you're not alone: http://theshapeofamother.com (warning: NSFW)

Hi J.,
Unfortunately, I have always had the loose skin even though I might weigh 125 or 115 pounds. I walk a lot, drink tons of water and just try to stay as active as possible. I am not one for situps but of course that is the best thing. I was going to aerobics here on post but that gets difficult with dragging the kids there and keeping an eye on them. Anyway, hope this helps! And herbal wraps may work too.

Hey J.- I am a rep for a company called ItWorks mobile body wraps. They really do work! Our wraps are designed not to just rid your body of water but help kick start your body to rid of toxins. The wraps can be purchased direct from the company and done in the privacy of your home or you can have a trim/wrap party and get a wrap of your choice for FREE! Check out my site at www.itworks.net/getskinnybyginny or give me a call at ###-###-####.

Hi J., I have the same problem. I have a 15 month old and I still look pregnant. Kind of agrivating. This is my second child though. After my first child 3 years ago, my belly went right back in shape. My only suggestion is to do lots of situps and tighten it up a little. That has helped me recently.

I hope this helps. Also, I work from home but I have a business. Check out my site. Also, in my recent advertising, I have found some places you can find companies to work from home. One thing to look into is a medical transcriptionist. You can train online and then find a doctor to work for from home. I hope you find something that works for you.

Herbal wraps only take out water......if it is fat or flab...they won't work. You could try a lipodisolve......or even Thermage....(both done by dr's)......but they are both somewhat expensive. Also could go and talk to a personal trainer and see if there are some exercises you could do.

The doctor who told you surgery was the only option was correct. Although exercising is great it won't get it back to normal. No amount of exercising will tighten up that area of skin. Once the skin has stretched it will not go back to it's normal size. Getting the skin removed and tightened will put it back to normal. So try looking into Liposelection or Lipodissolve. Both procedures are great and aren't that expensive. Good luck to you!~

Hi I also have loose skin under my belly button. I have three children and had no problem until #3 came along. I weigh 113 lbs and am not worried about loosing weight but the skin has just been stretched and looks bad. I met with a personal trainer and he said if it is not fat that there is nothing I could do except surgery which I am not going to do. If you find anything that works for the problem let me know!!! Good luck.
