Help with Stains on Favorite Dress.
I inadvertently washed my daughter's favorite dress with a tie die shirt which I thought was faded and safe. However, it bled pink dye onto it in several places. Soaking in Oxy-Clean doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Any suggestions you can give me would be most appreciated.

It depends on what color the dress is. Check out RIT color remover and see if it will take the dye out. but if the dress is brightly colored it may take all the color out. It it is light it might work. Good luck

Hairspray! I know it sounds strange but it is great at getting things like ink out of clothes. The cheaper the hair spray the better. Spray on spots, both inside and outside of clothes, brush with old tooth brush and pop it back in the laundry. Repeat if necessary. Hairspray worked at removing Crayola marker from my husbands light colored pants. I also like ZOUT for stain removal. Good luck!

I recently did the same thing. I got RIF color remover. I was able to get the color out of my son's shirt, but the white socks stayed pink. I think it depends of the fabric, but give RIT a try.

Try SHOUT - Color Catchers - they are amazing! Get the Shout stain remover spray the dress so it is wet and then put one or two of the color catchers in the washing machine and re-wash the dress.
These Shout Color Catchers pull all the dye and colors in the wash and the colors will cling to these little sheets! For every day wash, just put one in each wash and it catches any color from darker items. These are a must have every time you do your laundry that way you get no bleeding of colors. Hopefully this will help.
Keep me posted on your news!
Thanks

You might have to just let her tie dye that dress of hers or change the color to something darker that will cover up those bled spots.

Just washed some expensive decorative pillow cases (after the stupid cat sprayed on them) all together and got red spots on the three that weren't red. "Shout" removed it all. Just sprayed thoroughly, left for a while and did long wash in COLD water.
I love Shout!!
Also, Shout caused NO fading of the original color. I would try it before I would try other ideas.
