Help with Nanny

when my husband and I moved our family to Dallas (last June) we scrambled to find a nanny to take care of our then 5 month old baby girl, we interviewed some candidates until we fetl we had the right one. She has been wonderful, she has been amazing with the baby and also with our 6 yearl old. I feel like I can trust her with anything and when my husband and I had to go on a business trip (we work together) we felt 100% comfortable leaving both our children in her care for 4 days and 3 nights. Not only does she take care of our daughter but she also cleans our house, does our laundry, writes my shopping list. She is truly unbelievable. Everyday I have a journal that tells me what she and the baby have done, what the baby has eaten and how many diaper changes. So you ask, what is the problem? My husband and I have both resigned from our jobs and dont know what we will be doing (call it a midlife crisis) and it breaks my heart but we cant afford her anymore, since neither of us know whats going to happen. I spoke to her yesterday and cried through out the whole talk. I feel miserable. I feel like I owe her so much more than this, she has been such and important person in my daughters life and for that matter my families life. Does anyone have any reccomendations?

What can I do next?

N.,
Please send me more info on your nanny. Is she willing to travel to McKinney, TX? And what is her cost? My daughters job involves lots of travel. She is a single parent. Is in need of someone who is loving, caring and not too expensive.

I know I am a month late, but I am also looking for a nanny for three boys. Health benefits will be paid, along with some other benefits. If your nanny hasn't found another happy home, please give her my number ###-###-####.

Can you refer her to another family??? Can you use her sporadically? What does she think of it?? Having been a nanny myself, just make sure that you tell her exactly how you feel - that means soo much. If you can refer her, be sure to give her glowing reports...Make sure to keep her up on the girls' lives...send her bday cards, pics, emails...etc...I know this isn't much info, but I hope it helps some...

Good luck to you all!
