I have two boys who play for Orange County Strikers soccer team and we are looking for fundraising ideas. We were thinking bake sale, but these are boys! Car wash is also an idea, but not sure on how to go about it. Anybody have any experience in the fundraising area? It would be greatly appreciated. Would like to focus on Southwest Orlando. Also, we are looking for any business that would like to donate to the team or maybe even sponsor the team? We would put your business logo on our jerseys! All tax deductible.......think about it. I know we have some great Orlando business owners out there. Thanks so much.

What can I do next?

why cant you have a bake sale just cause they are boys. boys can cook, bake and so do their parents. and i am sure they will buy cookies and candy! you can also do a garage sale!

Has the organization thought about car magnets, coolers or koozies with the team or soccer organization logo on it? They're a great form of advertising as well! I can help you if you'd like ideas in that area.

Hi! To find a sponsor, some boys in team uniform usually need to approach the owners of local businesses and ask. Stick to small businesses (like pizza places, subway, etc.). As for car washes, approach 7-11, Burger King, McDonald's and ask to hold a carwash in their parking lot (that's what most school teams do). You charge $10.00 per car and have it organized (four boys wash the car, four boys dry the car, two boys collect money, etc.) Some other fundraisers are Tupperware (the consultant preps everything for you and everyone needs Tupperware!) or you could designate one parent to go to BJs, Costco, Sam's and buy ice cream, sodas, snacks in bulk. Sell them at the games and that could generate you some profit. Good luck!
