Help with Finding Double Stroller

I need a double stroller that will fold up and fit in the trunk of a jetta. I also need one that will hold a infant carrier and still have room for my 2 year old. Does anyone have a suggestion of what kind I need to look at investing in?

What can I do next?

I also recommend the Phil and Teds double sport buggy - AWESOME stroller - I have a 15 month old and 4 year old and they both fit well in it when going on walks, zoo, etc.

I recommend a tandem stroller that has one seat for the baby or the car seat and the back has a place for the 2 yo to sit or stand. I had a Joovy tandem and loved it. I am not sure if it will fit in a Jetta but go to Babies R Us and they will usually take a product out to the car to see if it fits.

Hello,
We had our children very close together so I understand what you are going through. When we needed our dbl stroller we looked at all the major retailers and then tried Cosco. They don't have one here in NC where I am located ut you can look at their website and see what they currently have available. Price wise they were cheaper then the rest and quality was the same. Now I am going back 4 years which in the bay gear world is a lifetime but still. Good luck and I hope I helped a little. ~R.

I don't know if it will fit in the trunk of a Jetta but I have the Graco Duo. It's the model from a couple of years ago that I got on sale because Target was getting rid of the pattern. An infant carrier (like the Graco Snugride) will attach in the front or back. I have 2 boys that are just shy of being 17 mths apart. It works for me!
They are now 2 1/2 and 13 months.

I don't know how big the trunk of a Jetta is, but I have a '98 Honda Accord, and I bought the Phil and Teds double sport buggy when I had my san, and I LOVED it... sill do!
It is able to be used as a double or single, and is far from bulky when in use. Plus, I never had to worry about the possiblilty of "driving' across grass.. it can handle anything!

You should check it out for yourself... it is not sold in stores, but many websites have them available. Oh, and they have come out with a "new and improved" model that looks really cool; however, it's about twice the price of an already $$ stroller.. depends on what you can afford!

Good luck, and congratulations!

Hi K.,

I would suggest the Baby Trend Sit n Stand LX. We got one from Target for approx. $83 and it's wonderful! Doesn't take up much room and my kids love it. They are 2 and 1/2 years apart in age. It holds the infant carrier and then converts to just a regular seat. Holds 44 lbs. per seat.

Best wishes and congrats on your new addition to be!

My older two children are two yrs and six months apart. I invested in a Sit-n-Stand Stroller by Baby Trend.

I am needing a double stroller as well. I saw this lady with one when I was out, it was a koalacare I believe is the name of it. It was really cool, however, she did say it was heavy, and I'm not sure how small it actually folds up. I need somethingg with 2 seats though because my son will only be 19 months when this one comes along. Maybe a sit and stand like the other ladies said? GL and congrats!!
