Help with Clothing Sizes

There is no avergae size for an 11 year old. It all depends on how fast they have grown. My son is almost 11 and is a size 14, but his friends range from a size 10 to a mens medium. It also depends on is they wear "slims" or "husky" sizes. THe best thing to do is ask the parents of the children.

Generally, you go one size up from the child's age.

Obviously, not all kids are the same size, but that usually works.

Well I would guess about a 12. My daughter is 10 and wears a 7, but she is skinny and real tall. My 8 year old wears more like a 8, usually the size is close to their age, but not always. Sorry, hope this helps. Best wishes.

my daughter at age 11 was 5 feet 5 inches and a junior size 4 or 6.

At age 11 they are ALL over the place. My 11 year old is in Junior size 1 jeans- 6 months ago she was in size 14 girls jeans. She has grown over 5 inches in one year. So it kinda depends on if they have had their growth spurt yet. Many of her friends are in size 10 or size 12 girls things still. The boys are less likely to have had their growth spurt yet- so they will be more average sizes- I think my son was in the boys size 12 and 14 at this age- but by 12 he was in small men's. It would help if you at least knew their height-I'm guessing you are buying presents?
