Help with 6 Month Old's Schedule

My little one turns 6 months on the 10th of December and I'm wanting to compare schedules of other babies her age....as far as how often they nurse/bottle feed/baby food and nap/sleep patterns. I realize each baby is different, but it's helpful to see what other parents are doing.

Thanks in advance!

Starting at 12 weeks I put my kids on a PDF schedule (Growing Kids Gods Way technique), it is a rotating 3 hour schedule. Eat, play, sleep. This order is very important so you do not have to entertain a hungry baby. The play can be from 5 mins to 1 hour, depending on the age of the child. Once they are 6 months I introduce cerial, I add it to the lunch feeding, so there is time for allergy reactions before I put them to bed for the night. This schedule has allowed my kids to sleep solid through the night at 3 months old (except for teething times) and allowed me the freedom to leave the kids with daddy (since I nurse for the first year), I know when they need to eat again. I keep this routine up until about 1 year ro 18 months, since the need the sleep to help them grow.

Hi H., My little girl turns 6 months this Sunday, time flies!!

Our schedule is pretty great right now, but I'm still trying to work out the baby food part. Here's where we are at right now:

Wake 7am
Bottle - 7 oz (formula now)
Play
Down for nap by 10:30
Up at 12 noon
Bottle - 6-7 oz
Play
Down for nap around 2- 2:30
Up around 5pm
Bottle 6-7 oz
Play
Highchair baby food time at 7pm
(she eats about 1 tablespoon rice cereal mixed with a TB of veggies - we just started so I assume we'll get better at this)
Bathtime at 8pm
Last bottle 8:15 (7oz)
Read story
Bedtime 8:30-8:45

She's been great at sleeping all through the night since about 3 months old, but she is teething (4 bottom and 2 top at the SAME TIME!), so she has been waking up once or twice. We've just been going in and putting her pacifier back in and that seems to work for her just fine.

She's a very happy baby and I feel so lucky that she's been so awesome since this is my first kiddo!

Hi! My son is 6.5 months. His schedule is based as much around my family's needs (when dad gets home, and when older brother needs to do things) as his needs, but it works for us. I added the before-afternoon-nap nursing in about a month ago, and found that it really improved the length of his afternoon nap. He gets stories and songs between nursing and sleep so that I put him in his crib awake. Here's what we do ...

Wake at 8am & nurse
Play
Nap from 10:45 - 11:45
Nurse right after nap, followed by small amounts of table foods (e.g. cheerios, bread, soft fruit)
Play
Nurse at 1:30
Stories, songs
Nap from 2:00 - 3:30
Nurse after nap
Play
Nap 5:45 - 6:15
Nurse after nap, followed by dinner (baby food)
play and bath
Nurse at 8:00pm
stories and songs
Sleep from 8:15 pm - 8:00 am, usually waking up once or twice during the night to nurse and/or get comfort

Hi H.-
You may check out http://www.babycoach.net/
There are some helpful downloads for different schedules. I used some of her sample schedules to get my baby into more of a routine. It was nice to have a little guidance for a first time parent!
