Help!! Seeking New OB/GYN in Farmington Area (Beaumont Dr.)

I am 7 months pregnant, and am looking for a new OB/GYN that I can start going to AFTER my baby is born. I have had several problems with the office I go to currently, especially in the past few weeks. The office staff (especially nurses) are extreamly NASTY and make my visits and phone calls there unbearable!! I don't have much of a problem with the doctors, but I can NEVER seem to talk to them or get return phone calls regarding test results, questions, etc. I have decided to stick it out for the next 10 weeks until my babys birth, but immediately after that I would like to have a new doctor already established. Any recommendations for a Beaumont doctor would be appreciated!

What can I do next?

I also recommend the Metro Partners in Women's Health. When I was 30 weeks along, I switched doctors and hospitals from Beaumont to Providence. It was a great decision. Beaumont is like an assembly line, they do so many births there. Providence was much more personalized, and they (MP & Providence) were willing to follow my birth plan.

Dr. Annette Greenstein in Beverly Hills, MI. She's located on Southfield Road just north of 13 mile. I really trust her, and she specializes in high risk (you need not be high risk to see her). I have gone through so many ob/gyn's including Metro Partners as referred by others. I was 5 months into my first pregnancy and lost that baby, and switched to her during my second pregnancy. She was soooo much better than any of the docs I had seen before and identified a number of things with my second pregnancy that my docs before didn't address at all. She is very cautious and I totally trust her to make sure both baby and me were always safe. I can't speak highly enough. I now have a beautiful 7 1/2 month old little girl-my labor and delivery were terrible but she came out perfect, safe and healthy. Call her. ###-###-####. (I wouldn't wait)

My recommendation is that if you are having problems now, and they are severe enough to make you want to leave - DO NOT wait 10 more weeks. Chances are, it won't get any better.

I can recommend an excellent team of doctors in the FH area. The West Oakland OB GYN, located at 34505 W. Twelve Mile Rd. Suite 195 Farmington Hills, MI 48331. ###-###-####. Dr. Laura Gruskin delivered my second baby, but I also liked Dr. Jay Fisher. I haven't met the other doctor yet.

H.,
Metro Partners in Women's Health is on Northwestern (near Inkster and 13 Mile). Dr. Pezeshki and Dr. Marback are both great (both women). (They also have midwives there) I think the number is ###-###-####. Dr. Pezeski has called me personally with tests results and the staff is very curtious. They work through Providence, but may also be affiliated with Beaumont--not sure. Best of luck!

Congrats on the baby! I go to Dr. Thai. She's part of Metro partners in womens health. The office I go to is in the providence medical center at 7mile and Newburgh. She is super nice, she actually makes all the awkwardness of your visits go away. All the doctors at that practice are very friendly. I hope this helps. Good luck with the months ahead.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I went thru a similar experience when I was expecting my first son and I know how awful it can be. Beaumont has a doctor referral line, if you call the hospital directly they can give you the number, sorry I do not know it off the top of my head. I was just about 8 months pregnant with my first when I called the referral # and I switched doctors before my son was born. I was so unhappy with the first doctors and his office staff that I did not want him to deliver my son. The practice I switched to was great and the end of my pregnancy and delivery was wonderful. I suggest if you are truly unhappy to call the referral number and switch now this should be a happy wonderful experience for you.

Good luck with your search and I hope you find a practice that makes you happy. :-)

I strongly recommend Premier Women's Health. Dr. Matoian and Dr. Powell (both females) are wonderful. The staff is also great! Dr. Matoian delivered both of my children and I couldn't have had a better experience. They only deliver out of Beaumont Royal Oak. They are located on Telegraph at 13 Mile, on the northbound side. Phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck to you and congrats on the baby!
