HELP! Needing Inexpensive/consignment Wedding Dresses
My best friend has come into town this week so I can help with her wedding plans. We ordered dresses on line from "cybergown.com" and they haven't even shipped them out. We can't get a hold of any one there, even thought the site says they are available 24 hrs a day, but every time I e-mail them or call I can't get any one to tell me why they have every thing on hold. I am going to cancel the order. The problem is that we now need to find inexpensive formal wear at around $49.00(including a wedding dress! for around $100-150) all this wk end. PLEASE HELP! As new as I am to Memphis I have no idea where to even start. Of course she doesn't want to have some substandard dress, but she is paying for her whole wedding alone. If it helps she is an XL-XXL size. Thanks ladies.
So What Happened?™
Well, she ended up settling for an evening gown, it is her third wedding, and it was actually bought at TJ Max! The dress is amazing, and she paid less than $50.00 for it. I got my brides maid dress from a store on Winchester, in the same plaza as Birlington Coat factory. I think the stores name is Lia's and it is a bridal shop. I only paid $20.00, and I would definately recomend the store. They have a beautiful selection, and prices vary starting at the $19.99 sales rack!

I have a wedding dress that I would be willing to sell for $150. I wore it last year and it is a beautiful dress. I can send pics what is your email address. I will send it asap if you have paypal or as soon as I get a check. OR I live in Nashville and could meet you somewhere to swap.

Try Low's Bridal in Brinkley, AR. Everybody I know goes there for highly discounted wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. They are only open certain times and I believe you have to call and make an appointment. Their website is http://www.lowsbridal.com/

You could try Simply Divine Plus Size Resale on S. Mendenhall. They have some formalwear, but I'm not 100% sure about wedding dresses. Their phone number is ###-###-#### and the address is 699 S. Mendenhall, Memphis (near where Mendenhall crosses Poplar). It should share a parking lot with Bogie's Deli.

Try David's Bridal (they are in the Yellow Pages). They have $99.00 sales on wedding gowns all the time - and I think they are having one now. They also have reasonably priced bridesmaid's gowns. Also, the bridesmaids could always wear simple dresses from a non-wedding type store.
