Two things come to mind...Hylands Teething Tablets and amber teething necklaces. (http://www.amber-teething-necklace.com/) I've never tried the necklace, but my SIL says it's worked for them.

Hi C.

The below website explains about teething and temp. of fever that is normal.

http://www.babyslumber.com/articles/baby/is-a-low-grade-f...

Also, infant's motrin is a good one for teething as that one is administered every 6 hours and it helps more with the pain of inflamation.

As for natural teething products, just google "natural teething remedies" It comes up with a whole bunch of alternatives to teething pain.

Hope this helps.

Why don't you try Hyland's teething tablets? They worked great for my son.
Also, something cold to chew on would help (you can put her teethers in the refrigerator or freeze a banana).

Does she have her 1st yr molars yet? My daughter chewed on everything, mostly her fingers, when she was cutting the molars. Also, alternate the medicine by giving her Motrin (Ibuprofin). This will also help with the fever and pain and decreases the risk of too much acetaminophin in her system. I was told this by a nurse. You can also rub some teething gel on her gums as give her teething toys to chew on when she has the remote control or anything that is inappropriate for chewing. This phase will pass. Good luck.

Yes, babies often get fevers when teething, but it shouldn't be a high fever. Low-grade fevers are quite common with teething, as is diarrhea, diaper rash, and the chewing that you mentioned.

My son had fevers while teething. Besides Tylenol I used to freeze wet wash cloths and give them to him to chew on and that seemed to help. There are teething toys that have fluid in them that you can freeze, too, but he always liked the wash cloth better. You could try putting some ice cubes into her sippy cup. When I was young, my dad always had us bite down on cloves when we had a toothache or canker sore [they are a natural anesthetic]. You could maybe try clove oil, but I know it has to be diluted for babies so you would have to ask a doctor first about how much is safe to use.

if you are giving her both tyenol and motrin you can rotate them every 2(er doctor told me this and a nurse)-3 hrs. my kids both did better with motrin. tyenol does not do a whole bunch for them. i feel for you though. patti just went through this. screaming for 3 hrs couldn't calm him. went to doctors. red ear and teething. top gum was purple. lasted about a week. now MUCH BETTER. he was drooling BAD was another way i knew. other than the tyenol and motrin, i use/used baby oragel night time formula and some teething tablets. gave him cold things also to chew on. with my oldest i have it easy as far as teething goes. with him before found out about food allergies we would do the same as above but we would also give him BITER BISCUTS?sp(cookie) and they did wonders for him. granted he needed a bath immedietaly after he was done.

S. mom to jm 5 yrs old and pc 17months. married to mj for 3 yrs been together 8yrs though.

Yes, she is probably teething...my son always got a bit of a diaper rash and sometimes a fever with teething, especially with the more difficult teeth. We used the Hyland's teething tablets during the day, and then used Tylenol or Ibuprofen as needed, but especially if you use the Ibuprofen (motrin) at night, because it lasts longer than the Tylenol and gives you child a better rest (Tylenol can be taken every 4 hours, and the motrin every 6 hours).

Hyland's teething tablets helped some- you can get them at Walgreens. Also- try the infant Motrin instead of Tylenol. It lasts for 6-8 hours. Chilled teethers help, too!
