I took the advice of all the wonderful mothers out there and purchaced a rice cooker and a crock pot. If anyone out there knows any good recipes for either the crock pot or rice cooker it would be much appreciated.

So What Happened?

Thank you all for all of your great ideas! I used my crock pot for the first time yesterday, when I got home I had dinner waiting for us. It was GREAT! I had so much more time to do so many other things that needed to be done. I think I found my "Big Break" Thanks again everyone!

I love to do a rump roast with potatoes, onions, mushrooms and eat it the first night with gravy as a pot roast. Then I take the left overs and shred it the next night for tacos or burritoes. GREAT! I do the same with a pork roast, the second night we have Carnitas tacos.

google crock pot recipes. You can cook almost anything in there. Spaghetti & meatballs, chicken soup, beef stew, slow cooked BBQ ribs, shreaded beef taco meet, roast, the list goes on. Whatever it is you cook, the meet will be tender and juicy and the stews will be full of flavor.

buy the "Fix it and Forget it Cookbook" for crockpots. Target carries it. Tons of great recipes and variety.
A simple easy taco recipe is to throw in chicken breasts with a jar of salsa. Shred and put in tortillas with all your favorite fixings. Cook extra chicken and use some for enchiladas another day.
I also buy a beef roast, add dry onion soup mix, cream of celery soup, potatoes, carrots, onion and celery. YUM!
I've done a pork raost with teryiaki or bbq sauce.
I love my crock pot for those busy days-saves us from take out and pizza.

Hi D S I gave you few ideas, maybe i have to be more specific

1. Bar B q Chicken, boil the chicken on the stove, place in crock pot, and pour bar b q sauce over the chicken and put on low.

2. Pot Roast, Brown your pot roast on the stove, place in crockpot, season it, you can put onion soup mix over the roast cook on high if you are home if you going to be at work cook on low.

3, Pork Chops, put pork chops in the crock pot, pour a can of cream of mushroon soup cook on low you don't like cream of mushroon soup, you can put a gravy over them, or any kind of dry sop mix, ecperience with the different kinds,

Ribs, boil on stove first, then place in crock pot, pour bar b q sauce over the ribs and cook on low

you can even do hot dogs in the crock pot

If you want just veggies, put raw carrots, brocolli, what ever you like and cook them on low, until tender.

with the rice cooker, just cook rice. if you need anymore ideas let me know. J. L.
