Have you tried www.momsclub.com? Not all the chapters have a website but there are acouple in Plano.

Or take your child to a rec center class. That is a great way to meet other SAHM's!

For ur boredom..u cud join moms club or mothers day out program and get to know moms with kids of the same ages..or if u were lokking something only for urself..try searching for meetups in ur localty and maybe it might just click.

Your life sounds alot like my own. I am 31 with a 3 year old... without a life of my own. I have always lived in the Dallas area, but my close friends do not have children and can't quite understand why it is so difficult for me to get out!!!

Have you tried www.meetup.com? You can search for mom groups by zip code. There are also the Collin County Early Childhood PTA (www.ccecpta.com), MOPS.org, or MOMSClub.org you can look into in your area.

My name is H.. I moved to Dallas 3ish years ago. I made a really great friend threw Matchingmoms.com I don't make friends that easily. I'm kind of shy in person. I have 2 boys (Gannon 3 and Noah 14 months) I work part-time at a local gym where I get to take my boys with me. If you would like to get together sometime, maybe meet at a mall or for lunch let me know. I feel your pain. I found a really good group of girls in my sunday school class at church. A lot of them are stay at home moms too so we have a playgroup where we meet once a week. I have also met Moms at storytime and other activities like going to the park. I dont know if you are open to this but doing some sort of business at home where you go out and have girl nights might be a fun way to meet people too. My friend sells southern living and she loves having parties because those are a great way to meet other moms and women.

I have a playgroup in the Plano/Allen/McKinney/Frisco area. We meet weekly on either Thurs. or Fri. We also do a Moms' Night Out (got one planned for next Tues.), Dads' Night Out (3/20), Couples' Night Out and Family Night Out. Please email me for more info - we would love to have you join us!

Wow, can I relate! My husband and I got transferred here 3 years ago so now I have no parents or sister to hang out with! I've made a few friends here and there but I'm so busy with my 4 year old boy and 8 month old girl that sometimes I feel like an anti-social hermit! Let me know if anyone else responds (or maybe we're the only 2 losers out there..hahaha!) and maybe we could do a 'ladies night out'...try a new restaurant or something. Hi there. I understand how you feel. I joined the Mom's club, and it was so wonderful to meet other SAHM mom's through the club. Plus, they always have fun things scheduled to do throughout the week. They will have a Mom's Club in your area. You may have to go to their webpage to find out what chapter you would be in. Good luck!! Life totally changes when you get active with others!

I'm 26 & have 4 girls & have been home w/them since the second. She just turned 8 yesterday. I completly feel your pain! What I try to do is involve my kids in things-just so I can go talk to the parents during their activities. But, since your son is so young-Isuggest you try starting a mommy & me group where you live. You'd be surprised how many moms might jump on that idea!

Hi A.! I know how tough it can be getting to know other people when you stay home with your kids. I'm a SAHM of a 2yr old and a 4 yr old. I'm part of a great group of women that is FREE and open to any Mom! We organized ourselves into a Yahoo Group so that it's easier to stay in touch, and our group is growing. We began in Garland, but we're open to anyone in the area. We have started scheduling a few activities a month, like park days, Moms Night Out, etc. Many times someone will just email the group with a spontaneous plan to meet somewhere. That's exactly me! I am also 30 years old not ready to die yet but sometimes I feel as if my life stopped. I came here from Poland a year ago, I have three little girls (twins and a little one)and I am also desperate for a female companionship to chat a bit, go out for a coffee ect.
