So What Happened?™
Here is the email my sister sent me...looks like she found an easy solution...who would have thought....LOL
i found some stuff on the internet and I took dryer sheets and a bowl of water with ice cubes in it to make it real cold I got each dryer sheet really wet and layed them all over the whole dryer for 20 to 30 minutes and then went down and wiped it out with the dryer sheets and it came out pretty easy except a few spots that was caked with gum. Two of the spots I had to scrub a little harder and one spot that was real bad I got a new dryer sheet and got it wet stuck it on there for another 15 to 20 minutes and then scrubed and got it out. Then wiped the dryer out with a wet wash cloth to get the light film off from the dryer sheets. it acctually worked really good

GooGone will probably work. After using that you'll need to wipe off those areas with soap & water or windex to remove the oily residue. Then you should be good to go.

There is a product called GOO GONE and it works on sticky sustances like magic. It has a citric-y scent and she will need to wipe out her dryer with a lightly soaped dish towel and rinse with clear water on another towel after all the gum is gone.
THis product can also remove the gummy goo from price tags on glass, gum from clothes and hair.
Hope this helps,

This happened to me a few weeks ago. My husband and I used fingernail polish remover and it worked.

I work at an appliance store. I asked the parts manager. He recommended a product called Goof Off. I was thinking have you tried Goo Gone? I use it for everything. I hope one of these helps. Please let me know. Thank you R. A.

its best to make the gum really cold...try ice on it and she'll be able to scrape it off

Peanut butter should do the trick. Take a little and rub it in with a cloth or paper towel. Most any oil should break up the gum. This also works on gum on leather seats!

Try "Goo Gone", just squirt it on, let it sit, then wipe with warm water and soap. Hope this helps.

Ice or Goo Gone...you can find Goo Gone at Walmart or Target.
Both suggestions have save many items and things around the house. Before I knew about Goo Gone I tossed out shirts that had gum on them and the worst stickers that got washed and dryed on shirts.
