HELP - Halloween Costume Ideas for Daughters 2 Years and 8 Months

Okay so I am totally stumped. I am looking for cute halloween costumes for my two little girls (ages 2 years and 8 months). I would like for them to coordinate/ have a theme. I don't want them to be the SAME thing - just coordinate (like my 2 year old could be Bo Peep and my baby girl could be a sheep, etc). I am hoping you moms have some clever ideas for me. Halloween is quickly arriving - yikes! I no longer can procrastinate. Thanks for your ideas!

1- a gardener and a flower, or a flower and a bee (I have an infant bumble costume I would be willing to pass on)
2- any of their two favorite characters- Disney, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street, I'm sure your older girl already has her favorites.
3- favorite animals- a pig and a cow, a dog and a cat, or something like that...
4- foods that go together? I've seen really cute hot dog and french fry costumes. Peas and carrots maybe?
5- a bunny and a carrot

1. One could be a flower, the other a bumble bee

2. One could be Bert, the other Ernie. Or Abby Caddaby and Zoe.

3. They could each be a disney princess, just 2 different ones

www.coolest-parties.com has by far the best ideas for all occasions including Halloween. They have pictures of homeade halloween costumes, cakes, decorating ideas. One of my all time favorites was kids dressed up as Thing 1 & 2 from Dr. Seuss. Enjoy !!

you could have your older daughter be a farmer (overalls, hat, shovel) and your younger daughter be a farm animal and she could be pulled around in a wagon filled with pumpkins and other farm animals (stuffed animals). good luck!

I have a son and a daughter and they were a little further apart in age but their first Halloween together they went as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. They were absolutely adorable. I got both costumes really cheap closer to Halloween at the Disney store online. I was looking for a blue nightgown so I could be Wendy when we all went trick-or-treating. Unfortunately I never found one that was appropriate. I hope that helps. Good luck!!

We're really into Halloween so I know the "pressure" thing. I find it best when we go to the store and see what is there, things seem to click. You can see what the choices are on the spot and what the costumes look like. I like the Spirit store, Party City has some fun stuff. We don't go online any more but I am sure if you Google it you can find something. Good luck.

2 years ago when my girls were 1 month & 18 months, I had the older be Snow White & the baby was an apple. It was adorable. Especially now with the Snow White movie coming out tomorrow, you might be able to find some really cute things. Good luck.

How about Dorothy from the Wizzard of Oz and Toto? I've seen both costumes at Halloween shops.

My daughters (ages 2 & 4) have had coordinated Halloween costumes for the past two years. Two years ago they were Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. Last year they were Dora and Boots. Both were very cute. Although this year they have their own ideas about what they want to be, so they will not be coordinating. Good Luck!
