H., have her check with Mission Arlington, and St. Maria Goretti's Church as well. Both helped my family in our time of crisis! Also if she calls, 211 they will be able to give her more contacts that she can try. Arlington has a lot of people out there that can help!

call 211 and see what services are available in the area. Could you maybe give her a ride to get the groceries? You could call local churches to ask if they can help as well.

Maybe there is a nearby church that can help her if too far maybe she could ride on a bus if she has change to get somewhere.I wish I could be more helpful.

There is a church in Mansfield that has a food kitchen that maybe able to assist. Contact ###-###-#### Cathy Wooddll is the Food Ministry Director. The church is Living Word Outreach.

I don't know if I can find someone to help your friend out, but just in case. Can I get an address for your friend? This way, if I can find help for her she can get assistance alot faster.

I am in Hurst, but I know of some people possibly that can help out in the Arlington, Grand Prairie, Mansfield area.

i would have her call Mission Arlington and talk to someone there. Explain about the transportation and maybe they can work around it for a first time applicant. I know that they do deliver food out to the community. Is the four year attending a pre-school in Arlington?? She could also let the school nurse or the principal know that they have a crisis situation going on and perhaps they could help. Another thing would be to have her
call 2-1-1 which is a clearinghouse for community services. Is her husband gone for good? How about the women's shelter since she may be abandoned?? good luck to your friend.

Does she have a church affiliation anywhere in town? She could call Mission Arlington. As for her husband's desertion, she needs to call police or CPS.

I am sorry to hear that, that is really sad.

Maybe try some churches they might have a out reach or willing to bring them to some1 in need.

I would love to help her out I can drive her to any appointment's, I will buy the little one some pampers. This is very sad what kind of man does something like this to his wife and kids.

Have her call 211. I've never tried this before myself, but was given it as a reference when we adopted 3 of our boys from the state foster care system. It is suppose to have a lot of resources for people in need (not just adopted children). I had a friend who was also going through hard times that had called the number as well to find an attorney. Also, something she will need to check in with is as well is Medicaid coverage for herself and possibly the children if Dad doesn't have coverage for them. I believe she can inquire about this at this phone number. Hope this helps.
