Help! Burned Leg and Don't Want Scar!!

So, on Saturday I decided it would be a good idea for me to sit on my husband's new motorcycle and rev it up. I was wearing shorts. I knew to watch out for the hot pipes on the side, but my leg touched them anyway. Now I have an ugly burn and I don't want a scar. Does anyone know of a good product that will minimize scar potential? Thanks for your input!!!

What can I do next?

All the oils that have been mentioned are good. I would like to say that I tried Vitamin E oil and found that I was allergic - guess what a lot of people are. If you find you break out with little bumps, switch oils. Also alternate with aloe vera it also works well to help with quick healing.

Try sween cream. You can get it at most small pharmacy's like Ben Franklin, etc.

With skin burns, keep it hydrated with lotion - anything with aloe like you might use on sunburn. Maderma is good for reducing scars too, but I wouldn't use that until the skin heals unless the packaging says otherwise.

Try A&D. have you seen my big fat greek wedding? the way that guy is with windex....well that is me with the A&D i swear it is a cure-all for all skin problems. it works way better than neosporin or anything like that. good luck. also bio-oil isnt bad.

Let me just say this... I had a dirt bike a long time ago.. and long story short.. I tried to compete with the guys and wrecked the handel got stuck in the mud with the muffler on my leg.. it burned all the way down to the bone... they gave me a big blue jar of stuff at the hospital to help with the burning and told me the hair would never grow back and it would be a nasty scar... well the hair grows back and you can barely see a slight tent of where it was burned if you look at it just right. I would just take care of it like your doctor tells you too and I seriously think it will go away.. I have had 2 burns equally as bad and you cannot see either of them ... Hope that gives you a little hope :)

Go get some Mederma at wal-mart it will help. Also, vitamin E oil will help too.

I burned my arm badly and it began to get infected so I was concerned about scarring.

From previous experience with a hysterectomy scar, I used vitamin E oil faithfully and you cannot see where I was burned at all. You can barely see my hysterectomy scar!

UPDATE: I 2nd the blue stuff someone mentioned. My husband was injured in a car accident and had bad road rash on his arm and they gave him some stuff in a blue jar. It does work.
