My freind's son drew on her new couch with a sharpie marker. Does anyone have any ideas for her to get it out?

What can I do next?

Hi M.
Have you ever heard of Sol U Mel? What about PreSpot? Sol U Mel actually does remove Sharpie marker and PreSpot works wonders as well. Visit www.saferforyourhome.com. Let me know what you think. They are actually giving away $100 in Advantage Rewards to new October customers this month.

That liquid hand sanitizer works wonders, I would be careful with the material. It even gets out dry erase marker from my kids school uniforms.
Good Luck to your friend,

Alcohol. Pour it on there and then blot it with a paoer towel. DON'T RUB IT! I wouldn't use a carpet cleaner or Oxy Clean... I did that when some wrote on my couch and it made it worse... i then tried alcohol and it worked and got it out and you can't even tell.

You can buy a permanent ink remover at the hardware store. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of it, but I borrowed it from a friend and it worked. If she has a scotchguard warranty, she should probably call the store and make sure she won't void the warranty by using another product, though.

I wouldn't recommend alcohol, personally, unless you spot treat it first and if it's scotchguarded. I would GOOGLE for some ideas. Does your friend of a stain warranty? Maybe try Shot Spot (in orange aerosol can) or Woolite Oxy but once again, try in unseen area first. Maybe even call Sharpie and ask if they have suggestions. Good luck and I hope it comes out.
