I have a 3 year old little girl with more then enough baby things to help you out. Beleive it or not I thought I was having a boy so I have quite a few new born clothes that are for a little boy. I also have bottles, pacifiers, toys, blankets etc... that you might find useful.
Let me know if you would like to go thru some stuff and I'll be happy to meet with you or bring them over to your house.
I've been holding on to these things for 3 years, it's time to share the wealth :)

We have two boys and although we don't have a ton of infant things, we do have some books and toys for smaller kids. We are actually having a garage sale next week-end and if you would like to ocme by and take thing before the sale starts, that would be fine with me. Even if you want to come by Thursday evening, otherwise the sale starts at 8AM and I'm not sure if you could make it out earlier, etc....but I'd rather give them to you then sell them.

Also, I have a bunch of resources for you to explore for getting other newborn items that I could print out for you or even email. At any rate, keep in touch-I was a teen mom, too!

Where do you live? There are some great freecycle and parent swap type site with people giving stuff away. unfortuantely I just gave my baby girl's stuff to another single mom with twins.

Have you also tried Ebay? You may be able to get some great deals on some of the items you need.

If you still need a car seat there are some police departments/fire departments who have them as well as the hospitials. Most are required to keep them and donate them to those in need. They are good seats but not your trendy Gracco/Britix carseats.

Try Once upon a Child (West Dundee by the mall)you can get alot of good items there that are used or even new. We got my daughters bathtub, swing, and bouncer there for less then what one item cost new, ---The tub was brand new never used.

Also check local churches. I know Aug 19th the large Catholic church in Crystal Lake (St Marys-I think) by Crystal Lake South H.S. has a HUGE sale. You have to get there early but you can get everything you asked for dirt cheap! I got my daughter a walker, kitchen set, booster chair, and play pen for under 40.00. Trick is to be there before 8:00am. I know they had sheets, bottles, tons of clothes, toys, books....

You didn't mention it above, so I am not sure if you are in need or not, but I have a beautiful crib that is not being used anymore. It is only 4 years old (my daughter is 4 now) - it is cherry wood, and coverts to a toddler bed. I also still have the mattress. If you would like it, I would love to give it to you. I was going to sell it, but if you need it, I would rather give it to you for free. Let me know if you are interested.
