Heat Rash on a 7 Week Old...

Like Susan said, Aveeno makes great products and its the only thing my son and I can use on our eczema for comfort.

But, I agree you should take her to her Pedi and get help with that.

Since she is so young... take her to the Pediatrician... heat rash looks like that, but you want to confirm it, for sure. It could even be allergy related.

Sometimes, newborns can also get clogged skin pores...
until you ask your Pediatrician, try not to put anything on it, because an infants skin is sensitive and the pores can get clogged...

Aveeno also makes good products for babies, with colloidal oatmeal... also, when bathing her... try and not to use "soap" or just use Cetaphil, or even just a luke warm/tepid bath. Use "soap free" products. Or, a teaspoon of baking soda in a cup or so of water... and dab her with it. But again, check with your Pediatrician if this is okay. (it's something I just heard about some Moms do).

But really, ask your Pediatrician, since she is just a newborn.

I would take my baby to the doctors. Baby is way to young to guess what is wrong.

i agree with SH confirm with your babies dr that its heat rash. my nephews had a rash all over like that and it was eczema. until then i would keep her as cool as possible which would get rid of some of the bumps (if it was heat rash). but if it doesnt go away it may be eczema. hope this helps good luck!

My son had baby acne on his face, and it was little red bumps. Give the dr. a call and see what they suggest.
