Healthy Families and Good Pediatrician in Los Angeles

We go to Valley Pediatrics in Encino (Balboa by the 101 Freeway) ###-###-####. Check with them on the insurance. It's a great place with about 6 doctors - all really nice.

Dr. Lauren Lubin in Burbank is good. However, if you are looking for a more alternative doctor, Dr. Paul Fleiss is awesome!! However, he is a bit further in LA (90027). Good luck :)

Ugh! I just blindly chose one out of the book 2 days ago. I chose Dr.Lelanie Luna in Glendale, based solely on her pretty name. :/
If I remember, I'll update my answer after our first visit this coming Friday (4/15) and let you know what I think. Even with our previous PPO, I had a very hard time finding a doctor with an alternative, homeopathic approach, and I had a lot more choices then.

I'd be curious as to what you find as far as a pediatrician. I'm due to have my baby in about 3 weeks and I need to find one for myself, in the same areas you are looking in. As of right now I've got Anthem Blue Cross which is a med-i-cal assigned insurance program and not sure if when the baby comes he will have med-i-cal or the same as me. But it seems most pediatricians I'm finding are bascially PPO only.

We see Dr. Sheldon Kishineff on Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake (adjacent to Burbank) and have absolutely loved him. His approach is very non alarmist while not every making me feel ridiculous for rushing in over something silly. My twins have been there since they were born and are 4 now. We've never had to wait for more than 15 minutes before being seen, which is better than I can say for my doctor! I highly recommend him.
