I have a prescription for HCG injections to help with my infertility troubles. I am having trouble finding a pharmacy that carries this. Does anyone out there know one that does. I would also love to hear from anyone who has taking HCG injections. Any major side effects? (Pregnancy would be a great one).

What can I do next?

Your doctor should have recommended a pharmacy because you aren't going to be able to walk into your local pharmacy and fill it. I've found them cheapest at online pharmacies, but which one depends on what is prescribed. Most have free shipping so I've often ordered different drugs from different pharmacies for the same medicated cycle. www.freedomdrug.com, www.schrafts.com, and www.alexanderdrug.com are the main ones.

I think the major side effects are pain in the butt :)

Yes, I did the HCG injections and Walgreens Pharmacy carried them.

It did work for me, as I have a beautiful 4 week baby boy!

I didn't have any side effects from it. I know infertility can be very frustrating so make sure you hang in there and know that it will happen...it just may take some time. It took us almost a year...but in the end we have a very wonderful little gift!

Stay positive and God Bless!

I got mine at cub and target. They need 24 hour notice to order it but never had a problem getting it in time. I did once get it at North Memorial because I forgot to order it. The only problem I had was them giving me the right size needle.
Good luck

I would try one of the hospital pharmacies. A lot of them do outpatient stuff too. It's worth a try. Or just call your MD and see if they recommend a pharmacy. GOOD LUCK!!!
