A couple years ago I was pregnant and my levels were low. They did a vaginal ultra sound and saw a sack were the baby should be but there was no baby just a water sack. They called it a blighted ovom ( I don't think I spelled that right)
At the time I was only 4-6 weeks along.
Hope eveything works out for you

Dear M....

First of all, take a deep breath and know that God is in charge here. Realize that pain, and bleeding are a sign that someting is wrong. When I was 37, I had the signs that I was pregnant, But, I started to bleed along with cramping at about 5 weeks. It was like the pain of labor. I was told to collect the clots, so that my Dr. could see how much blood I was loosing. He determined after an untrasound that I had what was called a "missed pregnancy", the gestational sac was there, but there was no pregnancy as strange as that sounds. He said, that I coulod let nature take its course, and continue to pass the clots, ot I cound have a DNC. I opted to get it over with and had the proceedure. I was heartbroken, and cried alot afterwards.
I got pregnant again, and a year later gave birth to a healthy baby boy, and 18 months later a baby girl.
In the times we live in, there are many things that cause things to happen to our bodies. They have to learn to adapt. But, God knows what is best for us, and He is in conrol of our lives, whether we accept Him or not. He loves us, and loves our children, and desires not to harm us. Sometimes our lifestyles superceed His plan for us, but He is faithful to continue to bless us.
What I am saing here, is don't give up hope, have faith, and trust that He will give you the desires of your heart. It might not be when you want it, because it his in His time that He answers prayer. Just be assured He does answer prayers.

I wish the best for you and your family, and hope that Gods love will minister you, and that He would give wisdom and discernment to your doctor regarding this pregnacy and the ones to come.

Love and Gods blessings,
C.

Hi M., I am a Registered Nurse, and work at an OB/GYN doctor's office. I would have them do another ultra sound or something else to make sure it is a tubal pregnancy before I would let them do surgery! Are you still having pain? When do you do another blood test for the HCG level? I must say that I have NEVER heard of someone having a tubal pregnancy and a uterine pregnancy at the same time. Just doesn't sound right to me. Get another opinion.
Good luck,
S.

I think at this point you cannot be certain that this pregnancy isn't viable. Your hormone levels will help you with a piece of the puzzle. It is possible that you ovulated later than you thought.

However, I agree that with your current HCG levels, no one could be certain that this is an ectopic pregnancy. I had cysts on my ovaries for the entire first trimester of my successful pregnancy. That said, sometimes when an ectopic occurs, a gestational sac also forms in the uterus. At this early in the pregnancy, however, if both you and your doctors are absolutely certain that you have a non-viable ectopic pregnancy, it can be safer for you to take a medication called methotrexate than to have surgery. I'm sorry that you're going through this. I hope everything goes well for you today. Good luck.

Hi M.,

I'm sorry to hear that your having some issues. I too am pregnant with my 2nd child and have waited for what seems like forever to conceive.

Cysts are very painful when your pregnant and when you start having pain it makes it very scary. It is possible that your not as far a long as you think, some women (like myself) ovulate late in their cycle, so when you miss your period it makes sense to doctors that your about 4 weeks along, in fact if you have ovulated late than you would be less than that, closer to 2 weeks. And your # (373) makes sense. I just went thru all of this in early January.

I'm puzzled that a sonogram tech gave you a sonogram and mentioned something in your tubes. Your fallopian tubes can not be seen by sonogram, you can only see those by having a special procedure preformed in radiology by injecting ink into your uterus. And most information about tubal pregnancies suggest that if you do have one that it is extremely painful (pain you can't bear) and you have to have surgery immediately, it's not something you can hold off on a day or two.

If i were you, i would not have the surgery unless your doctor is 100% sure that is what is needed. If your sonogram picked up a gest. sac, then chances are you are earlier than you think. That is exactly what you should see if your only a few weeks along in your pregnancy. We saw the gest sac until I reached 8 weeks of pregnancy.

Good luck tomorrow with your blood work. Your hcg lvl # should be bigger tomorrow if you are having a successful pregnancy.

Take care,
M. S.
