Have You Ever Heard Of...

Has anyone ever heard of Armsco Inc. (central heating and air)? These people are going around neighborhoods and pressuring people to buy a unit from them. I have searched and found no info on them. They claim to be out of Mckinney Tx, then said if we look online they are in Terrell Tx. They were in Wichita Falls today & tried to hit up my parents for this one day only special (scam to me). Please let me know anything you might know. Thanks.

So What Happened?™

Thanks to all! Though we've never heard of them, I called around & there were two a/c co. who actually knew the owner & said they were good people. We checked w/bbb & they are not signed with them, nor could we find anything on them with bbb.
If you have older parents please remind them to never let solicitors into their homes!!

I know this coming to you a little to late but I wanted to give this information to you anyway. If you go to the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation, under A/C contractors is a search engine for Licensed Contractors for the whole state. If you can't find the company listed, then stay away because they probably don't have insurance. Good luck!

Never heard of them. My gut instinct is that it's a scam. Do your parents live in a predominantly older neighborhood? They could be targeting areas with senior citizens. I say, if their AC isn't broke, don't fix/replace it.

If someone is using high pressure sales techniques, they are up to no good. If your parents are experiencing a/c problems, my guy is the best and they are ethical. Many of my clients use these guys soley, because they don't need to do tricks to make money. They are a solid company that's been in the industry for over 25 years. they can't want business badly enough if they only spend "today only" in a neighborhood.
smells fishy.
