Have Had Insomnia Bouts Since Being Pregnant and Baby Is Now 13 Months!
I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with this and if you have any ideas that are more homeopathic. I am not much into getting medicated, if at all possible.
Thank you in advance.

So What Happened?™
Thank you to all for your advice with the insomnia. I take the valerian root on occasion and I began taking L-tyrosine to regulate my thyroid and the mood swings and insomnia have all but disappeared. Thank you to all who responded.

Hi K.,
I recommend valerian root. I've been taking it for occasional bouts with insomnia for a couple of years. My problem is that I fall asleep just fine, but then wake up at 3 a.m. with my mind racing. It seems to get me back to sleep nicely, and I wake up easily in the morning - none of the lasting grogginess of medication. It's an herb, available in the vitamin section of Publix or any drug store.
Sweet dreams!

Hi K.,
My husband has been an insomniac for his whole life....finally found a product that is natural that has let him sleep thru the night. It is primarily Valerian Root but has a blend of other things in it. It also helps with stress and doesnt make you drowsy just helps you sleep when you try to. You can only get it from a membership club that I belong. The cost for an annual membership is just one dollar until 6/15.(A special they are running right now). My technology is not good where I am and am not on the computer daily but you can call me at ###-###-####. I can explain everything then. There are also some things that will help you with your little one.
Would love to hear from you soon.

If you are having anxiety issues (i.e. lying there awake worrying about things) taking a B complex vitamin before bed should help. Also, Calcium and magnesium are supposed to help.

I suggest REST-EZ ... natural and non addictive. You get a good night's sleep without feel the least bit drowsy the next day. Actually, I wake feeling charged for the day. You can only get this online or through a catalog. But ... I can send you a bottle if you'd like.

You can also try Melatonin. This is what the body makes to make you sleepy. You can buy it at GNC or other nutrition stores. It is all natural and doesn't leave you groggy. When I take it I don't just all the sudden get sleepy or anything like you do with any of the drugs. It just makes it easier for you to go to sleep and stay asleep like you would normally. I take it about 30 minutes before I would normally go to bed and just do my normal bedtime routine. Good Luck!
