Hashimoto's/Hypothyroidism

I am trying to gather together a community of people who suffer from Hashimoto's/hypothyroidism in order for us to support each other and exchange ideas; especially ideas for natural ways to alleviate symptoms. I started a blog called Healing Hashimoto's Naturally. I'm not a great writer (or even good) but I wanted to create a way for people to connect on this topic. If you are interested, will you join the discussion? I'm always looking for new ways to help with the symptoms.

Thanks for your support!

just signed up for your blog, and would be happy to join a discussion. Have dealt with hypothyroidism for a couple of years now, as well as early menopause. I'm in the normal range with my TSH now, but I strongly believe that I spent my youth in fairly extreme hyperthyroidism, so "normal" is just not right for me. Thanks!

looks interesting! I will join a bit later today. I've been hypothyroid for 4 years now and just 1 year ago found out about hashimoto's. My 6 year old daughter also has it but dr's refuse to medicate her becuase her level is at 5 and they said it needs to be at a 10 before they will even talk to me about it.

There are some well established groups already out there, the most popular being:

http://thyroid.about.com/

There are some Yahoo Groups too:

NaturalThyroidHormones
and
The_Thyroid_Support_Group

They are in the thyroid disease category (which contains 97 groups).

I don't have these, but I do know that those in support groups (for any reason they need community) do statistically better than those facing their issue on their own.

Good for you for helping others and helping yourself.
