Has Anyone Used an Epi-Lady or Similar Shaver?

Wondering if anyone has used a shaver like this and if they like it? Does it hurt?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thank you so much for the advice. I did see the one I was interested in at Ulta. I think I'm going to break down and but one. The thing that appeals to me is the four weeks without hair. Rather than shaving everyday with a razor. Thanks again!!!

ow ow ow!! major pain. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I used an epilady years ago. i have one word... OUCH!! -this was years ago like i said and i was quite young so i dont know if my perception was a bit different then but i know i tried it once and never dared to do it again. if you try it you'll have let us know how it goes.

I use a brand called Silk Epil, I think. Hurts the first time, then less and less each time. It's mostly not an issue, particularly if I use it regularly, which for me, is every four weeks or so (legs only). I love it. Got it at Ulta.

I have an epilady...I use it during the winter months and after about a year, the hair quit coming back, starting on the calf and spreading around to the front (where the hair is the most corse) It hurt more when I first started. I soak in a hot bath for awhile before doing it, to loosen the folicle. then after, use the soothing lotion for an epilator (actually numbs it a bit) I only have a small amount of hair left on the fronts of my legs. I haven't tried it anywhere else, but I'm guessing that would hurt more than the legs!

I have an epi-lady, and yes...it hurts. I don't use it on my legs because it would take forever. The part that extracts the hair is usually pretty small so it doesn't cover as much surface area. I've found that usually have to go over the area a few times for it to pull all the hairs.

I use it for my facial hair, like inbetween my eyebrows, upper lip, etc. It does work...and the pain does seem to lessen, but...after using it for more than 2 years...it still hurts alot. All in all, I think it's cheeper than going into the salon every 2-3 weeks for a waxing, which I did for a year before finally buying an Epi-Lady.

yes it is very painfull, like waxing. but you don't have to do it as often as shaving so the trade off may be worth it for you.
