Has Anyone Successfully Recovered Deleted Texts?

I've never needed to recover a deleted text.
If I were to need to, my first go to would be ATT because they are the provider for my IPhone.

I know there are ways to do it because authorities do it all the time when investigating cases. I just don't have a need so I never checked it out.

FYI, for the future.... If I have a text I want to make sure I do not delete, I will screen shot the text and save in my camera roll and/or click on the chat boxes, highlight the text I want to save and email it to myself.

This is one of those things you get a lot of answers for if you Google it.
Apparently it's becoming a big problem so many people are talking about it.
It could be as simple as recovering from backup or the cloud.
