I just got the Newport News catalog and there are a lot of really cute things in it. Does anyone have any input about the sizing and/or quality of their merchandise?
I have ordered from there but will tell you that their quality is not very good. It looks a lot better in the catalog than in person. I felt the sizing is larger than indicated. If you wear anything smaller than a size 4, they everything they have is going to fall off of you. This is true of the petite things as well. Hope this helps.
I've purchased from new-port news for years and am very very satisfied with their products. Sizes run average.
I have never ordered from there, but my mother-in-law just gave me a catalog today because I saw a dress in there that I want to get for Easter. I am also a size 2-4 (per the other response) so I am a bit concerned about sizing as well. I am curious to see how others respond. Ironic how this request came through today, and I was just thinking about ordering.

I ordered from Newport News before and I think it is very good. Quality is good too, so I recommend it definitely.
You can sign up online too, they have very good promotions every once in a while.

It's been about 5 years since I ordered from there but I loved their stuff. If the quality is still the same and I would hope it is or better then you'll be happy. As far as sizing, I am a size 2-4 and most things were big on me.

It's been a few years since I bought from Newport News. I always thought the quality was cheap. I could only get 1 season out of the chothes. As for sizes, I only bought tops as I can't order pants. If they said there were a medium they were.
