Has Anyone Delivered at Harris Southwest?

I have delivered both of my kids at Harris Southwest and I had GREAT experiences both times! The nurses were FABULOUS and the lactation consultants are wonderful. They even called us at home after we delivered to see how the baby was doing, etc. They were expanding the maternity ward last December when we were there, but I got tour it and it looked like it was going to SUPER FAB! Flat screen TV's in the rooms, etc. I am not sure if it has opened yet or not, but I would have LOVED to be in one of those rooms! Good luck with your delivery!

I had my last baby at Harris SW and I loved everything about it. I had my first baby at AlSaints and I wasn't really happy with them. All of the nurses at HSW were AWESOME and they went out of thier way to help you at AS I had a couple of nurses that were just plain rude. The only con I have about them was when I had my last one I went to the hospital at the same time I did with my first one and they were so full that they sent me home just to return in a couple of hours but when my friend had hers thier about 6 wks ago they took her right in so it was nothing they could really control. I have delivered both my boys there. they are ages 8 and 2. I loved it. The staff was wonderful and everyone seemed to listen to my concerns. Both times the nurses not only checked in on me but also my husband. He went to get something to eat while the nurse stayed with me. I only had 1 con and that was when my son was born with a broken collarbone and they waited for his ped to tell me. I got upset, but totally understand the reason why.

I have delivered 4 kids there and loved it. The staff is wonderful. The nurses truly go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is comfortable and has what they need. I hope to work there one day as well.

I delivered there too 3 1/2 yrs ago. Everything was great. The only prob I had was the night I had my daughter it snowed, so the following day no lactation consultants came to the hospital. So I had to wing it until the following day. But, as far as the stay and nurses, it was great.
