Your Son may also like what is called "HexBug Nano" It is little CUTE robotic 'bugs.' REAL neat. My kids love them and it is NOT expensive. Amazon has it too... or Brookstone stores....
as a grown-up, I like them too. Real fun. It is a REAL popular toy now.... my 4 year old son and 8 year old daughter like it. They have about 4.

Tuesay morning had hamster in a ball for 6.99.
We sold our zhu zhus and I will tell you the parts come apart ALL the time.

i got mine in the ABC catalog for like $6 for the pet & ball but it might not get here in time now, that was like last month
