You could ask your neighbors that have been there for a while. That is probably the best way to judge. I would also say to buy stuff that you like or could give away easily at work or other functions you attend or save it for Christmas stockings if you have left overs.

I would pick up a giant bag of mixed treat candy and give out one or two pieces to each kid -hopefully that way you will have enough, but not a ton left over. Of course you can also always by the candy YOU really love, so if it's left over you'll enjoy eating it ;-) We kind of have the same deal this year -we're in a new house on a new street, so we're not sure what to expect!

I suggest forgetting the candy and go to a halloween party for the kids. I know there are man y by my home and they have moonwalks, games and more. The kids enjow that alot more than just the regular trick or treat and they still get candy.

I would say get the same amount you got the first year but don't open the bags until you need them, then return all the unused bags if you don't have many kids.

I would buy candy or 50 kids and if you run out of candy than turn your outside lights off or put a note on a door saying out of candy
