Halloween Costume Ideas for Adults

Whats your hair like???? I did gene simmons in kiss twice! A little face paint, creative clothes, wings, dog collar and killer boots! Your husband can be whoever else in the band he wants, same thing-face paint and clothes.

I always thought it was fun to see people dressed as related people or items like Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, a bottle of wine and a corkscrew, or as each other.

One year, 4 friends each dressed as a Scrabble tile (E, I, L, V). Others had fun rearranging them to spell words. If you like that idea, you could decorate a shirt to look like part of a Scrabble board. Attach a velcro strip along one row of squares. Cut out several squares from felt or posterboard and write a letter on each. Attach velcro to the backs so they adhere to the shirt but can be rearragned.

I went shopping with my 17 year old daugther at Wal0mart and they had the best costumes but our favorite "couple outfit" was the cave man and cave woman!

They had so many adult costumes there - I was surprized. She is tring to get her band director to let them dress-up for thier last football game on the 30th!

A friend once said that she and her husband won first prize dressed as a pair of breasts: she constructed a huge bra for them....

Other ideas: Recycling bins, lion tamer and lion.

My favorite one was Coroner and Dead Body. You can just put the word "Coroner" on the back of a windbraker and the other person wear all black with white chalk or tape out lining the other person's body (or paint "x" of the eyes, or a bullet hole in the person's head).

I very funny costume my husband and I won a contest at was a pregnant nun and a preist. I was actually pregnant which made it alot easier, but I am sure that a stuff pillow would work just as well. good luck

Either of these is pretty simple and super easy for travel. Not to mention, pretty original and cool!

Hubby - Let him wear a good set of vampire teeth and just dust his face a little with white powder and darken around his eyes ever so slightly... no one would really even realize he's in costume until they see you, or he opens his mouth...
You - Get the prosthetic stick on neck bite marks, and have fake blood dripping down your neck onto your shirt. Also dust your face a little and darken your eyes a bit...
You could wear your normal clothes and do these really simple things, and look really cool. For a little different spin, you could wear the teeth, and hubby could be the victim!

One other idea we did before, was with the "Girls Gone Wild" theme.
Hubby - Wear a big, obnoxious camera around his neck.
You - wear a flesh colored bodysuit under your shirt and paint or or otherwise craft a black rectangle with the word CENSORED in white inside the block, across the girls.
Hubby preps to take a snapshot, and you lift your shirt!

1. Little Red riding hood and the big bad wolf:
Wear a red dress with a red cape and he could get a wolf mask and an old lady nightgown with cap.

2. Zombie prom dates:
wear prom style clothes ripped up with some blood and look dirty.

3.Jack and Jill:
Get two t-shirts and write JACK and JILL on the backs of each. Jack can wear a broken crown and have blood coming from his head. Jill should have lots of bruises from tumbling after, bruised face and bloody lips. They can both carry around tin pails that say water!

4. French Maid and Butler

5. Magician and a Bunny:
He dressed up as a magician and you dress up like a bunny.

6. Caveman and Cavewoman:
Get some animal print fabric and make simple dress/big shirt. Get a few big bones from Halloween decorations and mess up your hair and put some "dirt" on your faces and body.

No too long ago I saw a mom dressed as "Eggs sunny-side up" - she wore white pants and a white long sleeve shirt. She'd cut out a paper (felt or material would probably be more comfy and last longer) yellow "blob" for the yolk. She went so far as to put red all over her face as if she were sunburned...the "sunny" of the sunny-side up. True, most of us couldn't guess what she was, but it was a groaner once we realized. Clever, definitely clever. Perhaps your husband could go as bacon, or a pan or a spatula...??? Have fun!

* Italian Grape Squashers (get some long black wigs, peasant dresses and purple paint for your feet) -- I remember my parents won a prize for this one at a halloween party when I was a kid.

My husband and I went to a halloween party a few years back as the Saturday Night Live Cheerleaders, we even watched the skit on youtube and and practiced some of the dance routines....it was fun to do just the two of us and it worked great for the party. We won the funniest contest and had a great time. They have the costumes at the party store.
