I have always had rather straight hair. Oddly after my last baby it has changed. I can now shower and it drys with soft curls. I am actually kind of thrilled since I found that it is very easy and fast to style. Right now I am just letting it air dry a little and then spraying it with hair spray and scrunching it. Is there a better product for doing this? The hair spray works well enough but kind of smells and leaves my hair really stiff.

I personally prefer mousse for a curly, scrunchy day...very little maintenance and still stays put w/ some flexibility.
mousse works really good (scrunch then air dry), or try curls rock from bed head

Phomollient Styling Foam... its like a moose, but lighters and it will give you a light hold with out the 1990 crunchy look.
Also look into the Smooth Infusion line. It will help with any frizz!!!
I have worked with these products for over 6 years and wouldnt use anything else on my hair!! Plus they are natural products and smell amazing!!
Mousse usually works for setting soft curls. Just make sure you apply it when your hair is wet and blow dry or else it will be stiff and hard, maybe even more than hairspray!
