Try a really deep cleaning shampoo I use mine 2x a month just to strip some of the gunk out of my hair. They do have shampoo that will give hair some extra shine or they have drops you can put in after she's out of the tub (leave in don't rinse)

I would first rule it out as a symptom for a health issue - then I would change up the hair care - Shampoo's STRIP hair of everything, this is why we condition - so change your entire routine up, shampoo less, use a better conditioner. You can wet her hair w/out WASHING her hair and condition daily if you like, just be sure to still massage her scalp gently since there is no lubrication until you condition. Or you could change all together to a cleansing conditioner.

Well, my kids are mixed so I can't really help with this, but I do agree to use a deep cleaning shampoo twice a month. I like the Paul Mitchel Tea Tree. I used to use that on my daughter, but now she gets it done at the salon. It's VERY strong though.

I use Biolage Matrix on my hair. I use the moisturizing shampoo and creme conditioner. One small container of the conditioner is $23, but I always get them on sale. Last month I got 2 for $16 :).

Diet to plays a huge role in this. When my kids are drinking lots of water and getting in enough fruits and vegetables their hair is beautiful. When we are away from home for a week and eating lots of junk food I notice it starts to lose it's luster.

I would recommend Prosante by Shaklee.
Could she have an underlying health issue?

Try a little coconut oil. Not too much though. Basically rub it between your palms and smooth towards the ends. Massage some on your finger tips into her hair. As others said, be careful about washing the hair too much. Look up, "no-poo" on the internet. Lots of information.

This is better than Biolage & Pureolgy and beats the price. It is the only product out there that has color protection, anti-breakage proctection, uv protection, thermal protection, volumizing formula, & is sulfate-free! best part is it comes with a 60 day empty bottle, money back guareentee! love it, no risk, you have to be a member to order, which i can help u with, but it is worth it! you can email me for the info if you want to try it.
they also have another shampoo line~ Affina
