Hair Removal by Electrolysis

I am looking for local (Dallas/Carrollton/Addison) electrolysis hair removal; the "old fashioned" electric current hair removal and not laser treatment. I looked up a few places online: Lucy Peters International Limited (Dallas), Electrolysis by Rosemary (Royal Lane, Dallas) & Marlin Day Spa (Webb Chapel Road, Dallas). Is anyone familiar with these places or do you have a recommendation for another?

I have a friend who used Elect. by Rosemary and she was very happy with them. I know this because I have been looking into laser hair removal myself, but it seems to be sooo expensive. It has been years since she had her eyebrows done, so I don't know if the same people work there or not. Hope this helps!

I went to Lucy Peters myself for some chin hair after about $500 later, massive pain, and being told I wasn't even close to being done I gave up. I have a few dark ones that grow on my chin and I am now opting for laser after I have my baby. They are very nice and knowledgeable, but personally it was just not for me.

Hi there. I've been going to Lucy Peters International for two years now and love it! April, who is the electrolysis technician, is absolutely wonderful! Yes, laser hair removal definitely does not work as well. Best of luck!

i went to electrolysis by rosemary to remove chin hairs. after many treatments and payments later, the hairs came back. not thinner and lighter, but just as they were before i started treatment. i am not sure if the problem lies within their technique, or if electrolysis itself is not that effective. either way, it was money and time wasted.

i am curious, myself, to know of other experiences. good luck.

Hi J.,
I highly recommend Michaela. She used to have her own salon at Park/Preston in Plano, but now she works from home (nice house!) at Frankford/Midway in Dallas. Very professional!
Remember that electrolysis doesn`t give you immediate results, it takes time, also, it works well if you have blondish facil hair, opposite laser that only gets rid of dark hairs. I go see her every 2 months. She charges only $20.00 for every 15 minutes of treatment. Her phone # is ###-###-####. Tell her A. who lives close to her sent you.

Hi J.,

I have a recommendation for Electrolysis -- Prestige Skin and Laser at Arapaho and Hillcrest. The aesthetician I have been going to for years for waxing/facials used to work here and highly recommends it (she still gets her electrolysis done there). Here is their website: http://www.prestigeskinandlaser.com/services.html

I have an office in Richardson doing electrolysis. It is proven to be more permanent that laser. Check out my website and give me a call if you have any questions. Thanks, L. www.beautymarkboutique.com
