Hair Detangler!!

My 6 yr. old daughter has long, thick blonde hair and get tangles out of it is NOT fun! Do any of you have a special comb or detangler that you would recommend. Finding somthing to help would make our mornings MUCH more enjoyable! :)

What can I do next?

My 4 and 9 year old girls had (they recently cut 12 in. And 10in. To donate to locks for love) long beautiful blonde and brown hair. Each night after they were bathed we would braid their hair. Then in the mornings we would unbraid it and brush it tangle free. Plus it gave their hair a wavy look that they just loved. When i do use detangler i use johnson. It seems to work the best. The walmart brand is not very good. So i would not recomend it.

My 5 yr. old daughter has very fine straight hair. I think all hair types tangle and it's hard when it's attached to a young girl. My mother-in-law sent me an amazing brush. Her stylist gave it to her. The only info I have is what's on the handle. It says Continental WNR-21-N. She didn't know really anything about it when I asked. It slides through hair like it's going through butter. It has saved us a lot of grief. Hope this helps.

Johnson has a detangler that is good. Also go to Sally's Beauty supply they should have something too.

A beauty supply store should carry a hair brush for hair with extensions (brissles are flexible and designed to bend instead of pull on knots). Helps lessen the pulling effect on the scalp. I got my daughter's for $10, which seems a bit pricey but has helped our morning and bedtime brushings.

Try Pink Lotion . You can find it at Sally's. It comes in a pink bottle. It has always worked great for my daughter's hair.

Use conditioner in her hair when you wash it. The detanglers left my daughter's hair looking greasy so I do not use these. After my daughter washes her hair, she must brush her hair out and in the morning, there are hardly any tangles. If her hair is really thick, you may need to wash her hair/bathe in the morning. I am sure this is not what you want to hear, if your mornings are like mine! :-)

My sister would comb her daughters curly hair when it was still wet and had conditioner in it, with a wide tooth comb. It was much easier to detangle then, especially since my niece has a tender head.

Biolage Detangling Solution!! It's the best thing ever invented. My 6 year old daughter has waist length curly hair and I tried the detanglers from suave, loreal-but they didnt' do the job. Then we got the Biolage Detangling solution. It's great! My daughter calls it "soft hair" because it doesn't hurt anymore when we do her hair. Now some consider it pricey, but its well worth it. It's like $26 for a
33.8oz bottle. I also watch the sales at JCPenney's and stock up when I can. I've recommended it to other people and they love it!!! Good Luck!!

Braid her hair at night

My sis & I had the same problem- long, thick, fine blond hair, not to mention my sis is very tender-headed. The Johnson & Johnson spray detangler really works well.
