Grocery Savings

Hello Ladies
Do any of you know any stores in the DMV that might have double or triple coupon days. I really need any tips you might have to cut my grocery bill or find coupons. Help please.

What can I do next?

Hello!

Harris Teeter on Duke and N Jordan Street in Alexandria doubles manufacturer coupons up to a dollar every day, and recently, the Shoppers on Little River Turnpike, Alexandria, had triple coupons up to 2.50 and double up to 3 dollars - I think that was a special event though, so be sure to check their website before driving over.

Good Luck!

Giant always doubles coupons up to 50 cents. Also, join www.couponmom.com . It's free to join. Aside from emails about coupons and other deals, you can go on the website, look up a local grocery store, and you will see a list of items that are both on sale and that have coupons out for them (with the Sunday dates on which they were delivered with the Post).

I don't know of any stores with special coupon days, but if you (or anyone else reading this) wants extra coupons, you're welcome to have the ones from my Sunday Washington Post on an ongoing basis. I used to clip coupons for years and years, but I recently gave it up, since I couldn't keep up with it. By the time I would find a minute to sort my coupons, they would all be expired! It seems like a waste to throw them all in the recycling bin, but that's what I've been doing. If anyone wants them, I live by the West Falls Church Metro.

Bloom (usually more expensive to begin with) advertises triple coupon days - check their circular. They run it every 6 - 8 weeks. But I would suggest only buying whats on sale. Their regular price merchandise isnt worth the mark-up unless you need something really specific.

My latest discovery is the Asian Grocery Stores - the ones I've found in Northern VA are big - Great Wall, The Grand, and there's another across from Merrifield Gardens. The produce is terrific and the prices are generally very low. I've been getting 20 fresh limesfor a $1.00 vs. $1.00 for 2 limes at Whole Foods.

Hi N.,
My name is A. and I am wondering if you have ever
heard of Aldi?? I think there is one in Hyattsville.
I am not sure where you live, however, all there goods
are discounted. Basically, they sell the same name
brand products in generic boxes. When i used to live in
Florida I would see them alot.
Also, I am wondering if there might be other ways for
your family to save monies monthly. I am not sure of your
situation, but I am a financial coach and might be able to help. If that is of interest to you, feel free to contacct me @ ____@____.com
I hope you have a great day!
A. L.
