Green Drink Ideas for Class

help i need some ideas for my son's preschool class for this friday for gree drink ideas. i have to bring a green drink. i had thought about milk with green food coloring but another mother thought that was gross. help me...please!!!!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

thank-you everybody for all the responses and i really enjoyed all the ideas and even wrote down some of the ideas for future ideas...but i think i am going to stick with my original idea-green milk. loved the punch ideas but with only 10 kids in the class and it's only for the morning-the thought of mixing and such is alittle too much! thank you everyone!!!!!

I know this may come a little late...but...I would worry about bringing milk.Do you know if there are allergies in the classroom? My son is in second grade and there are certain treats they asked us not to bring in due to a few students with allergies.....

I would just die apple juice green...evey kid loves apple juice...(dont they?? :)

I have no experience with this but here are some ideas:
Propel water with green food coloring
Plain water with food coloring
White grape juice with green food coloring

(My first thought was the milk thing too)

you could do Green tea, green koolaid, green soda, I think that the green food coloring for the milk is a great idea kinda cute.

What about lime kool-aid?

Or maybe white grape juice with the food coloring?

You could do the green sorbet drink that you sometimes see at bridal/baby showers. It has sprite, orange juice, and lime sorbet...or something like that. You could look it up online.

lol green hi-c thats cool they sell it cheap in a gallon:)

I think the green milk is a great idea! Also, it's won't curdle. Asked around and that's totally false.

Hi K.,

I think green milk sounds gross, but then again I'm not 4. I just asked my 5 year old son if he would drink it and the biggest grin appeared on his face! I'm positive your child's preschool class will love that. I found a recipe on 'www.allrecipes.com' for Green Punch that sounds pretty good. According to the ratings, it's a big hit with kids. Good luck with whatever you choose - I'm sure the class will have a ball!

INGREDIENTS
2 (3 ounce) packages lime flavored gelatin mix
1 quart hot water
1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice
2 (12 fluid ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 cups white sugar
4 1/2 cups cold water
2 liters ginger ale
DIRECTIONS
In a large saucepan dissolve the gelatin in 1 quart of hot water. Allow to cool.
When gelatin is cool, pour into a large punch bowl, Stir in pineapple juice, orange juice concentrate, sugar and 4 1/2 cups cold water. Pour in ginger ale just before serving.

Koolaid makes grape and other flavors in a clear mix now. you could make one of those and put food coloring in it. By the way, just my opinion... I know that the kids are going to be drinking that much of whatever is made but I would be really upset to know that my four year old is having soda(the other suggestions that were given). We of course limit sugar and one of the big things we have read is that the average 5-10 year old drinks 6-12oz if soda a day. YUCK! Anyway, like I said, that is just my opinion. Make what ever you feel you would like.
Take care and I hope the party is fun!!!
