Great Photographer??? - Saint Paul,MN

I second Cheri's response for Ron Burg. I received a promotion when my daughter was born for a free -yes free- 4 picture panel (3mos, 6mos, 9mos, 1 yr). Of course the pictures are so phenomenal you end up buying some. He seemed kind of expensive, but after a couple bad experiences w/ Sears and only so-so pictures, he is well worth it. He is so good w/ kids too.

I highly recommend www.cksphotography.com. She has great pricing and you can own your negatives - which is a major plus. You can either go to her house in Lake Elmo or she will go anywhere you want. If you have any questions just e-mail me.

We have used The Photographer's Guild in St Paul (http://www.photographersguild.com) something like 16 times (over 2.5 yrs - yes, we're a little obsessive...), and just love them. I know they do outdoor work for weddings, and am sure they would be happy to go on site for a first birthday - they LOVE kids! :) We have never had anything but good experiences with them, and can't recommend them highly enough!

We used J. Boldt (jackieboldtphotography.com) for our wedding last year & our recent family photos. My sister has also used her for her family photos and we have all been nothing but thrilled. J. is an independent photographer with a studio in Eagan. She is willing to work indoors in a studio setting or at the location of your choosing. She is easy to work with (taking cues and direction from the client as well as interjecting her recommendations) and is quite inexpensive given that she gives you the rights to all the digital photos.

We've been very happy with Kyle Johnson at Siji Kids in St. Paul. He did indoor photos of my daughter at Christmastime and he just did her 2 year photos outdoors at the duck pond at St. Kates. This is who I used when my daughter was little. It was outside in the fall and they were the best photos I've ever gotten, and we've tried many.

I know someone who does awesome pictures of kids and I'm pretty sure she's willing to do "on location" photography. Her name is Jessica and her website if you want to check out her work is www.oneswiftclick.com. She does some adorable pictures of little girls in tutus. So cute!

My husband and I recently got married in April and our photographer was EXTREMELY resonable and following the wedding she offered to do our daughter's pictures. I haven't facilitated her for baby pictures, but she did a good job with our wedding pics. Her name is Angela Kirks. She lives in Anoka and does the photography thing as a part time business. We used Ron Burg photography in Inver Grove Heights/West St. Paul. He does awesome work and will also do outdoors too at any location. Very good with kids and also huge groups too;)

We've used Krysten Halek (www.krystenhalek.com) twice. She's amazing. I have two very energetic little boys who rarely sit still for photos and she has managed to capture the most precious shots of them. I can't recommend her enough. We also have some of the best family (and now pregnancy) shots that we've ever had taken.

I've done some fun shoots in St. Paul's Grand & Victoria area, lots of parks throughout the Twin Cities, the Peace Gardens in Minneapolis, Linden Hills, and several apple orchards, to name a few. Backyards and front sidewalks are often another great option.

I used Danielle for my 2 year old son's pictures and for my daughter's senior pictures and she is fabulous! A little pricey, but totally worth it. (You could easily spend the same amount of money at Target, etc.) She is located in Anoka and will do just about anything you want.

Chloephotography.com is great. She's wonderful with kids and is very reasonably priced. She lives in Stillwater, but will travel and I believe she has a studio in St. Paul.

We used Amy Hoffsommer for my daughter's portraits. Amy is great. She will shoot inside or outside. She will come to your home or wherever you want to shoot. She uses real film so you get prints and you get digital images too. Amy is in Mpls. but was recommended to us by friends in the east metro. And she was great with my daughter. We even got some great family photos with the cat.
